i was thinking that when i started my seedlings out and they started to need sun, possibly i could keep the on my roof during the day and then move them inside at night, so that i could plant earlier and not worry about rosts. but i was also thinking that might stress out the plants way to much and kill them. any thoughts?

I always start mine indoors, on 17/7, I choose 17 only because it matches up with the daylight hours by the time it's warm enough to put them out full time. But anyways, I put mine out during the day before that, to get some good sun, and save on hydro, you just have to make sure you harden them off. Like you can't go from 100% artificial light, to full on natural sunlight; it will probably kill them. So the first time outside, keep them in a shady area, or put them out on an overcast day, then progressively allow them stronger sunlight, also make sure they have alot of shelter from wind when you first put them outside cause they're not used to that environment, and they should be fine. And make sure you bring them in before it gets dark, besides the cold temps, it will also stress them, if theyre in the sun, then it gets dark, then you bring them back inside under light again, you know what I mean
