not to sure who started it, but they BOTH have the same idea i wanna know about.

1....is he cementing the cage?? hows he sealing it from leaking?

2....only 5 pages but on 1 of them he says

" the whole system is filled with diced rockwool, around 230ltrs worth!
you can do full areo or just use pots n drip feed more often but i just like the ease of rockwool as i only feed 3 times a day"

now is hes saying you can use pots and drip more often, does that mean roots will hang out bottom of pots into pvc T's and be dripped from top of column or dripper stake into cup(other words no medium inside columns?), i didnt think that was possible,!!!!! IM STUNNNNED!!!!! am i correct????

either way as soon as the roots make it into the column you can just drip straight on to them, lots of people run a line up through the column and then run dripper lines up the y fittings.

yeah nft systems are like that right?, forgot about that what was i thinking...

but how long will it take roots to dry out without any medium?, ill probly have to feed every 10 15 mins if u did it that way..(without medium in columns).

i am a tomato grower to be honest , but i was told maryjane and tomatos are like the same thing so iv been reading here(tomato sites FUCKING SUCK), i wanted to run a way smaller scale size that cheese's he has like 70 sites i was thinking half of that if not less..

i took cutts off these ones i had outside recently, getting them ready for the next system i put them in, probly gonna do flood and drain for now but im really interested in this cage.

the cage excites me, why doesnt everyone do it? if you get more flowers why not?.

anyways whats the time roots dry out ? i know it depends on the room condition and your light but im sure you could ball bark it for me?

well if you are using a recirculating system and you dont have exposed roots to the open sky you only need to run water 15 min out of 2-3 hrs.
but towers are a shitty idea for tomatoes. You are much better off to make a small ebb and flow table and train the toms along wires or a trellis. Yeah the regular hydro pages dont hold a candle to the nefarious forums. if you reallllly want to build a tower system try peppers, strawberries, lettuce, but not tomatoes they are just tooo fucking big and wild for towers. for towers you use small plants. also i found a good list of EC and PPM for loads of plants. Also try hydroponic cucumbers, AWESOME. http://www.gthydro.com/vegetables.html, I also started the same way as you but then realized shit I can sell the ganja (you cant sell tomatoes at $20/gram) and buy fucking good produce when I dont have any growing.

i was also gonna try strawberries so that's a plus,i guess your right tomatos do get feckin huge

15 mins 2-3 hours, after roots outgrow pot i guess it will only matter on air once they outgrow the pot and sit in pvc Y Right?/also temp of the pvc Y's!?

haha yeah i think if i grow the veggies i will eat more of them, i got a unhealthy body recently :(, sorry to say, but anyways im off to bed i be on in the morning.

with lettuce and strawberries you would have to pic to over feed the lettuce or under feed the berries. strawberries and beans are a good combo. Vegging weed and lettuce would work, and flowering weed and strawberries would work. peppers and strawberries would work. strawberries and broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage. I got tomatoes and cucumbers in a tub I mean shit every russian grows both side by side in their garden so why cant I. Go check out the garden section of this forum.
