no problem bro. just makin sure you knew. I have all my info from another breeder. and also by following Canned Abyss' Spyder creation.

In case you don't know Sp yder(SPutnik 2.0 x lowrYDER)
He used a stable auto to create this. not a hybrid.
that's why i have to stress to people STABILIZE YOUR GENETICS.
Without selective breeding you are wasting time in your attempt of strain creation.
all you are doing is creating new F1's that may or may not exist.

My planned strain(Circus Candy) just hasn't been crossed before because they are both crazy lineage hybrids as is.
Blue Dream people can't even tell for sure Who's haze is in it.

Originally listed as "Neville's Haze" now as "Super Silver Haze(?)"

yea that chart you made is not a one size fits all, and like mrE said, there is the law of diminishing returns so you dont end up with 100% at f5 or whatever. and if you start with s1 or fem its different than using a line that started of as a poly or even a stabilized hybrid. different rules apply to what you are trying to achieve, you can branch outwards and do a new cross and select for whatever you like then stabilize the new traits, or you can branch the line inwards and incross or back cross it back to itself. theres many paths when you start messing with genetics.

Seriously. Ok then Spyder does not exist. it was not created by Canned Abyss by the methods i have said.
A sativa pheno Lowryder male was crossed with a very potent white pheno Sputnik 2.0 female, from these came a very resinous purple sativa pheno sputnik 2.0 x Lowryder f1 female that was then crossed with a sativa pheno Sputnik 2.0 x Lowryder f1 male. In the f2's there were 3 AF's out of about 40 plants, 1 sativa pheno male and 2 sativa pheno females (1 was purple the other white). Both were pollinated but the purple was more impressive so that is what was worked with. In the f3's there were 12 AF's out of about 40 plants, 9 females and 3 males. The nicest male which was a purple pheno pollinated the 9 females which were also all purple phenos. Approximately 100 seeds from the f4's were grown out, chosen from the 2 nicest females. 100% of the f4 plants auto-flowered within 21 days from seed

And i was wrong F4 spyders were 100%
BTW that F5 is about AUTO not PHOTO. you CANNOT create an auto from scratch without first running 5 generations from seed.

I know what i am talking about. I have all the info. i have read ALL the threads websites and books on it.

I would not have my own breeding project in the works along with a friend who has been breeding for 10 years.
If my information is wrong then the strain i am running right now does not exist. because ALL the information i gave about the F5 run is from a breeder who has already done it.

And its beyond F9 already without selfing. it's still regular.

S1 is how you get FEMINIZED SEEDS. Have a good day.

If you go back and look at the other posts you can clearly see i am talking about breeding a male auto x female photo to get auto seeds.
F5 is the FIRST generation where the seeds will be 100% autoflowering.

if you look back on your records i was the on who showed you to that thread about the lineage of spyder. ive read it many times before. you are oversimplifying but i do not want to argue. i was just pointing out the fact that your observations are over simplifications. f5'ing something will not automatically lead to something that is homogenous, there is a rigorous selection process and depending on what you are breeding for your f5 can be completely different from the parent stock if that is the direction you are going for.

i know you are talking about autos but you are posting in someone else thread that is about non autos.

I know you were. that is the reason i posted the CA post.

I have been in contact with him since you first showed me and he gave me some pointers on it.

I have also become friends with a great grower/breeder who is giving me advice.
as well as another grower who gave me his techniques.

If it weren't for you i would still be trying to cross BD and spyder right now. and continuing until 100% auto....

Instead i'm creating a new super hybrid and then selfing the best of the progeny.

grow after the next i may start working on part of the BD cross since i plan to make my F1 this grow but leaving it alone for a while.
because i would need to grow MORE of my F1 than CA did with his.

Thanks again for the info you provided me in the beginning. :)

Wouldn't have gotten anywhere if i didn't have that info originally.

And this is why we need standards.
Stew the mother of the original BD cut is a SSH from the bay area, it was an outstanding local cut and someone working with it hit it with blueberry pollen to get a bunch of seeds for an outdoor crop and one lady stood out.

Also I hadn't posted this before I went to check on the ladies this morning and I was greeted by this:

FUCK YEAH!!!!
Damn I need to size that so it's not so blurry. Or take a better pic I was excited. There's nanners in that thar bud!

I got a seed of the cali cut BD as well. just not running it at the moment...
was done the same way a cut hit with blueberry pollen to get seeds. :)

I just got lucky with my HSO Blue Dream, it grows just like the Bay area cut does.

A better pic of Drue. Plant's are still looking good, just waiting on some pollen now. And of course lots more male flowers.

I will very much enjoy corresponding with you then. My studies have been paused due to external pressures, but I can't wait to get fluent in this.

So these f2s, they follow mendels laws right? In which case 1/4 of all seeds produced should mimic the parent dominate type?
If cannabis were an uncomplicated plant, perhaps, but yeah, generally speaking there will be about a 1/4 which will be similar - assuming you did proper selection - to the parent, but not the same.

Still think the best way to reproduce a plant from S1's is to find two plants that just seem to be polar opposites in the S1's and then cross them back to each other. Could be difficult. If you live in certain areas and have access to genetic testing, it would make the process a hell of a lot quicker.

MrE- You can pull those ones with the slits in the sides. dry them out and grind them up very very well. it will work(i know because i do it myself)

So, it must be a little of a head trip, being happy about male parts lol.

Yeah man, but I found some male flowers on an AKxJH cross I was growing out and had the normal kill it with fire response.

That's definitely an idea worth trying. Thanks man!

Well these have only been around for about 2 days, they got a little while to develop before I try to get them to release pollen.

Once they start to split open the pollen is viable. I've been doing it myself. I have pollinated 2 plants so far with what i collected(from crushing dried up pollen sacs.)

So it looks like Drue has at least self pollinated so hopefully some pollen has gotten on Stella as well. I'm going to try to collect it as well.

Stella fell over and needed to be tied up.

It's tough to see in the picture and I need to get a better picture but this lens isn't suited to macro shots, but you can see some seeds in Stella's buds! She definitely shouldn't be swelling 46 days into 12/12.

wow... she's so frosty.. making my tongue swell hehe..

prob will sound silly, but I still don't know how to trim. I mean I'm still not sure how to properly manicure after cutting the plant down. i.e. in your pic:
TDcxoV5_q.jpg

do you cut all those little leaves or only half of them, or only bigger ones? Cause they usually are quite heavily covered in resin but are they worth keeping on buds?

MrEDuck

I remove as much leaf material as possible because it doesn't taste good. Then I make the trim into some kind of concentrate.
Stella is absurdly frosty. And she's extra falling over this run. I'm hoping that means there's a lot of seeds.

Nice!
I like to let the buds go until the seeds are falling out.
Of course that means the bud material is useless, but when I am after seeds, I am after seeds.

If I selectively pollinate one branch, I pick the rest of the plant and let the seeded bud go.
