Ms Big Beautiful Buds Journal

You have so many beautiful plants! They're looking really great. You certainly learned all you needed!
Being totally new I started a Journal thinking that I would get all kinds of comments on what I was doing right or wrong. There were not many comments helping me along the way. Instead, I read threads of what other people were doing to make corrections to my grow. People say that growing MJ is easy, but I haven't gotten to that point yet. I am getting there because I fret a lot less than I did in the beginning. I'm glad that the plants know what they are doing because I sure don't. I am just kinda there...Thanks again MsBotwin

Not sure how I haven't seen your grow before. Everything looks great! Congrats on your last harvest.

Where did you get these 4 bulb sockets? I need some so add to my CFL collection!

I had to post this somewhere, so what better place than my own Journal. Here I have been puffing off of the mixed trimming I took to remove the damage parts of the buds while my plants were flowering. Today I put the buds that were in the large jars and put them in smaller jars for storage. I decided to try just the Shiva Shanti, so I found a small size popcorn bud that would fill a quarter of the way of my small glass pipe. I smoke it, and it is just what the doctor ordered! This is the type of MJ high I was after. I am feeling uplifted and full of energy. I might be doing everything at hyper speed the way I'm feeling. I have the munchies like an elephant right about now. I've eaten a 3 ounce package of Whoppers Malted Milk Mini Robin Eggs. Damn those things were good. I just want to get up and do something. My eyelids got heavy but the high isn't in my head, it's in my body. I think my heart is even beating faster. When I read this later I'll laugh at myself:eyesmoke:

I do have it on my Wishlist. So many seeds and so little money. My next purchase of seeds will be LSD and Northern Lights Special, unless Nirvana have a Weekend Whopper sale on Papaya. I may get to the Papaya by the end of the year. Tell me all about the Nirvana Papaya?

be careful as the weight ofthe 4 42 watters I used pulled the adapter apart after 1 grow

Namaste':leaf:
I have 2 of those. I used one during my first grow. It seemed fine when I had all 26 Watt bulbs, but once in flower, I switch them for 2 55 & 2 42 watt 2700K bulbs. After a few weeks, the adapter started to come apart. I think if I stayed with 26 watt bulbs, it would have been fine.

Okay, this is the 2nd warning that I have received about these 4-bulb adapters. I used them during my first grow with no problems. I have 2-42 watts and 2 26 watt bulbs in each one with a mixture of bright and soft bulbs. I have more bright for vegging and a soft bulb on each set of 4. So, both you (MsBotwin) and Lumi had problems with the adapter falling apart? Wow, the first sign of a problem with them I will take them down pronto. So far they have worked wonderful for me. Thanks for the heads up.

4 socket adapter? Pics maybe?
If you haven't looked already, there are pictures in past posts (#65 and #67). Don't worry about the overlook, I do it all the time myself. I have received 2 warning on these adapters, I have not had any problems yet.

I think it was the weight of the 55 watters that pushed it over. I switched for the second one I had and used the same bulbs the rest of that grow and it was still fine at the end. Now, I'm using those clamp reflectors for supplemental veg lighting because I want my Auto to have 2700K lighting from the top down (55 watt) and the middle downward(42 watt) so I cover as much area as possible. My veg area has a 125 watt 6500K CFL as it's main lighting.
