This Week's Thoughts

So things didn't quite work out as planned. I was supposed to start flushing yesterday
but I made a foolish mistake. I pulled the plant to take photos and I accidentally knocked over my fan onto the plant and broke her in half. Its too late in the game for mistakes like that so I decided instead to harvest the plant now. Its ok though, I was a few days shy of 9 weeks of flowering and the sample I yanked last week blew my mind.

I'll post dry weight once it's done. Thanks everyone for the support throughout the grow.

hey man, awesome grow. i think i'm about a week behind you, so seeing what you've got there makes me excited. i'm not gonna end up with near the amount you will, but i've been working with not all that great circumstances. anyway, looks great and happy smoking in the very near future.

Accidents happen, but I'm sure ya still got some ROPE there, brah! Enjoy yer girl & let us know weight, smoke report, etc!
You can imagine the horror when this fan fell off the windowsill and snapped the main stem! It wasn't completely broken but white puss was oozing out of the wound and my first thought was; if this stem stops delivering moisture to the buds because of this break then they're going to dry up and the lights are going to damage the bud! I was in a panic and decided to harvest.

The downside is that the plant was not flushed nor was the soil dried out completely so I can only hope that a long curing process eliminates the chemicals that are going to be in the bud.

Did ya flush every 2 weeks, as I always reccomend? If so, they will be far less harsh buds than if ya did NO flush @ all! Ya shud still get gr8 bud, brah! Make sure to follow this:

No, I never did any flushing. As you know it's Miracle Gro and I didn't want to blast the plant with extra chemicals. I never had time to hunt down that Clearex Salt Leeching Solution you recommended. I was planning on doing that this weekend.

Anyways, I plucked another small bud from the hanging plant that I'm gonna smoke tonight! The sample I took last week kicked my ass!

Thanks again for that link!

Ok, so the tree has been drying in the closet for 5 days with a fan on it. The buds feel dry and crispy (unless squeezed) so I cut and manicured the buds. Just for safety, I have laid out the buds on a window screen out in the garage where I will let them dry just a little bit longer before curing. Weight at this time (smokable, but still slightly moist on the inside) is 2.5 oz.

Hey thanks! Well some buds are completely dry where some others are still a little too moist. They've been drying for 5 days but they aren't all completely dry so I'm figuring to finish up with a dry weight of about 2 oz. I have been smoking off this tree since week 5 so who knows how much I have already lost due to my impatience.

I'll do another weigh in in a few days when I start the cure.

2.5 oz, is much better than I expected. My goal from the start was 28g but I never imagined that a single plant grown entirely with CFLs could produce 72g... that's just mind-boggling.

kiss-assFukkin a right on, bra!!! Wen are ya publishin the book? Can I get a footnote mention
Ha... I just created it so I could put it in the GrowFAQ Tools since that's lacking a complete grow journal from start to finish.

I really wish everyone would make one of these for their grows because it's so much easier to follow a grow this way instead of sifting through hundreds of pages of comments and bickering.
