Multi-Flow Plant Problems - Severe

Hi all,

Basically I've set up a new multi-flow system. All good in the set up of the system, each pot has a ratio of 60% clay pebbles, and 40% coco. Temperature is fine, and there's ample air circulation. Now what I was hoping to do was just take plants which have completed their Veg cycle, and plant them in the multi-flow to go straight into their flower cycle. This is where the plot thickens. The plants are coming out of a soil medium, and have been placed into the coco. I was advised to let the soil dry out as much as possible and shake off what I can and then place them into the coco. This I did, with a little apprehension. Now its been 5 days. On the 2nd day I noticed the leaves starting to rust and then turn brown and fall off. This is happening to almost all the plants. Also when the plants have been watered and drained, the pots are still very heavy. I understand that this may be in relation to the water retention in the soil, which is still present. To confuse matters, the top of the coco is visibly wet, which I have been assured should not be the case.
As for remedies, I initially thought it was a magnesium deficiency, and so made rectifications. Can someone please advise, as I don't want to lose the plants, which range from 2 feet to 3 feet in height. I was thinking of taking them back out of the coco and placing in luke warm ph'd water to get rid of the excess soil from the roots. If I lethe situation as it is and only water them once every 2 days, it sort of defeats the purpose of a multi-flow system. Please advise.turning yellow, to brown from the middle of the leaves and then falling off. They are very crispy and brittle.

PS - On some the new leaves forming are not being affected. Also there is no fungi on the rusting of the leaves. They are just
