Multiponics Treefrog system Grow -- 6 strains -- 2100 watts!!!

I guess I need to clarify that this post will not be in real time. I am actually in flower right now. I have been taking pics the whole crop.
I have a good friend with tons of strains available. He was nice enough to give me 26 cuts to work with. I think I have about 6 strains in the tray. I wish I had kept better track of what was what. They got all mixed up. I have indicas and sativas going together. Hopefully they can do OK with tall and short plants together. Some are 50 day strains and some are more like 75 days. I may have to harvest some earlier and leave the rest in the tray to finish.

My room has 5 x 400 watt MH that I custom built from parking lot light fixtures. I bought all the lights at a garage sale for $5 each! I took the ballasts and sockets out of the fixtures and made my own reflectors and stuff. I just went to a local metal scrap yard and had the guys bend me the reflectors out of aluminum. I ended up with a 4 foot reflector and a 5 foot reflector. I put 2 bulbs in one reflector and 3 in the other. So I really have an 800watt fixture (2 x 400 halide) and a 1300 watt fixture (3x 400watt halide and 4x 26 watt T5 bulbs). I used to have two rooms with one reflector in each. The 800 was great for veg. Then I could roll the table from the 800watt room into the other 1300watt room for flowering. My old DIY system was falling apart so I had to change my setup. Now I can't really roll the trays around so I just put both lights over the same 4x4 tray. So i'm rockin 2100 watts in a 4x4! My lights are crap for growing though. I am still using the bulbs that came with the fixtures. They're made for lighting parking areas and are about 3 years old now. I really need to get another set of bulbs but that shit is EXPENSIVE. 5 bulbs at 75-100 each! I spent $800 for my used treefrog on craigslist so the new lights have to wait. The guy i got it from siad he had bought alot of extras. so the price wasn't that bad at all. About half price.

I haven't seen anybody using the tray I have so I was really nervous about buying it. I never buy built stuff. I love DIY so it hurts my ego to buy stuff like this. My time is too limited to try engineering another system. The company that makes it was cool with a few questions i asked about the system but I prolly can't ask about weed shit. Their videos are incredible. but i didn;t get a manual or anything. If anyone here has one of these please PM me, I have a few questions.

I started the clones in rockwool cubes. The cuts went directly into my 3" net pots in the tray. I just dropped in the cubes and covered them with hydroton. I saw some videos on youtube so I was just trying to do it the same way. I was running a Recirculating Deep Water Culture (RDWC) with the water level adjusted to come up to about 1/8" below the net pots. With air stones providing bubbles in the tray and the fogger running 15 minutes per 2 hours to barely wet the rockwool cubes. As soon as the roots start coming out of the cubes they hang down into the water. I seemed to get better early root growth with the RDWC than going straight to aero. Once the roots get big enough I switch to aero. I wish i knew what type of settings to use. Their videos say 30 seconds on 2 1/2 mins off. So that was my first setting. Anyone have suggestions?

I have the same system and I've been using 5 seconds on 3 minutes of with good success so far. I'm still veging the growth seems to be slow at first. I think next time i will start off like you did with a deep water culture and then switch to aero during flower.

hows your grow going?

It was really hot in my room the whole time. My furnace is in there and in the winter it sucks with all the heat. They were stretched because of my lights and the heat. The third pic is after I thinned them out. I used halides all the way through the crop. I stopped posting cuz I was a little freaked out with a roommate situation. And it wasn't my best work.

I ended up with a good haul at the end. My yield was not the best I've done, but still awesome to have it all layed out on my dining room table!! Just started a new crop about 3 weeks ago. May post about it. I'm running an ebb and flow setup this time.

Fantastic build. This grow is much more impressive than the last. Great Job!! IF you are in the east coast, hit me up. I really would love a light hanging system like that.
