Mushroom ID Please

Hey guys I own a few horses & a buddy of mine informed me that magic mushrooms may grow from their poo after rainfall. So yesterday it rained & I decided that I go & take a look & found these little guys. I was wondering if they may be trippy mushrooms with an identification from you guys.

My location is East Mississippi, the weather is usually warm (85-95 Fahrenheit), found in a grass patch/dung pile. Do I need to provide more info?

It's not putting the image up.I am a Researcher....Lol.If I can see the pic, I'll let you know.Traditional Cowshit Shrooms have a tan nipple on top cone if you will, the juice that comes out of the mushroom is purple.Cubensis isn't very strong so get as many as you can and dry them so you get accurate weight.

Those my friend are [h=2]Panaeolus (Copelandia) Cyanescens[/h]
Considerably stronger than cubes... I would take it easy. I would also wait for a 2nd opinion. ;)

im not so sure the juice is purple on a cubensis but what i do know is that u can tell a cubensis from a few things, the caps are usually a sand or gold color, when u touch the stalks they chouls turn bluish purple where they bruise. if the mushrooms feel slimy or u see fungus nats i would not eat them. i agree it looks like a cyan but i would test it by clipping up the stem a 1/4 inch with sharp scissors this reduces the ammound of bruising if u look at the inner stem they should be a whitish bluish color if the inner stem is dark geyish black i wouldnt advise eating them.

Dabumps...panaeolous have white stems all the way down,in my experiences, also no grey or tan ring around the cap...id be wary if I were the o.p...those are not usually found in that region..grab the audobon feild guide or go find masters at the shroomery...hope you have a winner despite my negative feed back, just make sure they are safe,my liver is too old to donate for a transplant...

dude just be careful with wild mushrooms man, some of the stuff you pick if you ate could kill you, just be fuckin careful... Wild shit is dangerous man, why not just order some spores? Think about it, that's a stupid fucking way to die.

I recently heard(not recently occured) that a few people in a family were hospitalized and one died from eating mushies they found and believed were good..not even sure if they thought they were psychedelic..I think for food..but they did get sick...

yeah there are a ton of different species, and only few that are edible or psychoactive. Best case, bring the mushrooms to a biologist that specializes in mushrooms, or whatever there study is called. They could tell you 99% if its something you can eat. there not cops, just find one. Had one on a documentary about drugs with the hank guy from breaking bad not to long ago on discovery channel, sure he looked weird, but hes a smart mofo in his field of study. don't take opinions from people on a website, unless they are EXPERTS. That's a gamble with your life that no one can take back. Just looking out bro. :)

It's really simple go to the shroomery and they will tell you immediately let ud know what they were brotha. Shroomery will want a pic of the gills and better ones of the top.

What you have there is a Paneolus (or Stropharia, depending on which taxonomy you follow) species, but it's not a hallucinogenic one.

I'd guess it's one of the species known as "dung roundheads".

I wish there were shroom wizard hunters in the phone book that could be hired for a day. Kinda like charter fishing, but charter shrooming instead.

Yeah, you dont get the shits from bad shrooms, you get death within hours

Not quite accurate. Some deaths take much longer, the amanitas produce a toxin that makes you sick for a bit, and then you feel all better, nice and happy, all the while your liver is being destroyed, so it takes days.

You need to take a spore print.
Also entire russian family/immigrants have wiped themselves out thinking they found gourmet edible mushrooms, picked them, went home, cooked them for dinner, ate them, and wiped out their entire generation.
It didn't make them sick, it killed them.
