SO ABOUT 8 MONTHS AGO I TRIED PLAYING MUSIC FOR MY PLANTS. ANYTHING TO GET A GOOD YEILD. AND CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT I FOUND THAT IT ACTUALLY WORKED. I MUST HAVE GOTTEN ABOUT 10-15% MORE OUT OF IT. THINKING THIS WAS A FLUKE I DID IT AGAIN WITH THE SAME, MAYBE EVEN BETTER RESULTS. PLEASE TELL ME I'M NOT THE ONLY CRAZY ASS ON HERE.
MUSIC MY PLANTS LIKE:joint:

1. COLTRANE
2. VIVALDE
3. THE DUB SIDE OF THE MOON
4. DESMOND DECKER
5. GZA - LIQUID SWORDS

DISLIKE:spew:

1. MEGADETH
2. PETER TOSH
3. MILES DAVIS
4. SOUNGARDEN (A BIT IRONIC ISN'T IT)
5. LED ZEPPILIN

I DON'T CHOOSE THE MUSIC. THE PLANTS DO. WHEN THEY LIKE THEY PERK UP. WHEN THEY DON'T LIKE THEY DROOP.

P.S.
WHAT THE PLANTS LIKE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT THE OWNER (ME) LIKES.

I saw a Mythbusters episode on this once it turned out that the plants that were played heavy metal grew the best but maybe that was just those particular plants preferences lol....

i have my itunes and a music library that has about 10 days worth of music, i just leave it running 24/7 ussually.. plants get the vibrations off of it. it's mostly all rock with some weird stuff sneaked in there i'm sure. i dunno if they like it, but they are doing pretty good i think!! :)

it is weird though, that a plant would have a preference on music. :) must be something we still don't understand.. they are alive.. hehe.

i hope my plants like pink floyd.. hehe.. they haven't told me!

I have taken a tad different approach with music/sound for my plants. My ladies are serenaded 27/4 with "SINGING BIRDS - NATURES RELAXING SOUNDS (enhanced with music)".

Its basically just bird sounds (chirping & singing) with some soft, atmospheric flute mixed in now & again.

Its like I have my crop growing in the rain forest! I love being in my growroom... it's very relaxing!

I have played music during my last grow (Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, & Pato Banton), but I think this is much better - it provides a more natural atmosphere for them to thrive in.

Music is absolutely reccomended, but SINGING BIRDS is money.

Its not really the music that matters, its the frequency the plants like. You can use a "tone generator" program from download.com and find that perfect tone your plants like, it could be a high range like 15000hz or a low 200hz, you gotta find it.
Remember everything that is alive has a "frequency" or electrical motion.

Enjoy,
