Music for Plants

I have heard that playing classical music actually stimulates plants, and other forms of music such as rock and rap have a negative effect. I don't have proof, but I read a lot and know I read it somewhere. It's too bad actually. I think my plants would get down to some of the stuff that I listen to when I smoke them, lol.

I have a drum kit in my grow room. My plants dont seem bothered by my drum covers and solos... so go for it

peace

I have also heard the classical music from and old school grower who I am sure has never spent a day online for anything, and a friend who does, and mentioned this a few weeks ago.

i think mythbusters did a study on different kinds of music and the effects it had, if any, on plants. however, i do not remember the outcome of their experiments...

I've tried it 6 weeks classical and 6 weeks classic rock , it did not have any effect one way or the other. However it did help drown out the fan noise.

maybe try different types of music also grow clones because they react like family they will try to help each other out instead of compeat for the light and nutes exct. but im sure if you get the right music for the right plants there is somekind of unexplainable effect.

Hello RIU, will playing music for your plants help make them a "happier" plant?

thanks
Plants are stimulated with the right kind of music, do not know which one.
There are high-frequency waves in the music that stimulates the high-frequency waves we have in the body, the same way for the plants, everything has a vibration. Good musicians tend to live long, regardless of the rough lifestyle some of them have, partying, hard drugs, drinking etc.
You may have noticed that in a stressful situation, when you put on a good song you will be quiet and peaceful, it is scientifically proven that music can lower the vibration of the human body to a normal frequenzy, everything has a vibration even plants.

I do not think that plants get damaged by the music, but do not know if it has any significant effect either, but If u plan on testing this out let me know, Il follow the tread =) I can imagine plants in different rooms with different music and same light, witch get the best buds, haha would have been a long irritated grow room, same song repeating over and over..Rock in one room, punk in other so on.

I think there was a mythbuster episode some time ago where they tested this theory out, but I dont know the results.

seems the episode went abit hot..
