Music To Grow By

Wanted to start giving my babies some music to grow by, and was wondering what music others used? I know I want to probably lean toward classical / world music / jazz and stay away from my beloved heavy metal. So any suggestions on good music that doesn't suck too bad?

A few I've thought of so far...

The Scorpions & The Berlin Symphony has a few good ones that aren't too hard.

John Lord (keyboardist for Deep Purple) has a classical album that's kinda cool

There's some Jethro Tull that might work...

What music do you use to grow by if you have music in your grow room?

i don't actually play music for mine, that was just a suggestion. but after posting here, i saw someone else talking about playing music for their plants. does anyone else actually do this, and is it really beneficial? it seems kind of iffy to me...

try some real classical and romantic era music. also some good ol' reggae and yes jethro tull. maybe even some james taylor lol. u should try some traditional latin music just to see wat happens.

but yeah im a huge death metal fan. but i would suggest not playing bloodbath or NILE for them haha

was wondering this myself lol after seeing it on Jorge Cervantes's ultimate grow. Does it affect the yield or just keeps them perky? lol

I might have to re-think my position... I was remembering a Mythbusters episode apparently incorrectly:

Seven small greenhouses were set up on the M5 Industries roof. Four were set up with stereos playing endlessly looping recordings (as having the Mythbusters actually talk to the plants could contaminate the samples with their expelled carbon dioxide): Two of negative speech, two of positive speech (Kari and Scottie each made one positive and one negative inducing soundtrack), a fifth with classical music and a sixth with intense death metal music. A seventh greenhouse, used as a control sample, had no stereo. The greenhouses with the recordings of speech grew better than the control, regardless of whether such talk was kind or angry. The plants in the greenhouse with the recording of classical music grew better, while the plants in the greenhouse with the recording of intense death metal grew best of all.

Maybe Bloodbath and NILE might just work quite nicely?!
