My 09 Monster Attempt

Hey Hodge, on those scopes, I got one of the little cheapie Radio Shack <excuse me The Shack> ones and it's alright sitting at the table while very still. But for a quick inspection at the plant I just love my magnifying glass with the extra zoom spot built in. It's fast it's powerful, and it's always ready to use. Look at an office supply store. Kinda like this but mine doesn't have a light. hmmm? That might be even better. http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/615905/Great-Point-Light-4-Lighted-Magnifier/

And if you hold it out while wearing reading glasses it's like a portable microscope. Zooms way in to see the trichs. Really easy and fast. <and cheap>.

I'm starting to plan a watering system for next year. Thought I'd ask you a few specific questions if you had some time.

I usually wait till my plants need more water to water. I'm giving my girls about 20 gallons every other day, by hand, with a pond pump. You water a little everyday. Is that so you don't ever stress the plants? It would certainly make a watering schedule easier.

I noticed that when your plants were smaller, you were watering only a couple gallons a day. Is that right? I'm curious about your schedule and water amount currently?

I was also curious about your source. You have a well. Do all the plants get fed at once though the drip system? How do you know for sure what each girl gets?

Tooooo many questions! Ha. Sorry. I'm just really geeing out on this and I want to set up something really cool next year. My back hurts! Any info would be helpful.

Thanks!

I'm watering off my well at this time, you can build a system cheap and just turn a valve.:peace:

That's what I do. I ran a spreadsheet on my drip system inputting line pressure with emitter flow and it's just a matter of setting a timer clock on the valve that delivers X number gallons per minute to my plants.

The image is from this past June to show the drip system (can't see it now). I use a 1GPH stalk emitter and this is the first year I've (at the advice of a friend) used the ring emitter which flows about 5GPH. Makes life real easy compared to guessing. I also use a moisture meter with an 8" probe each evening to determine what watering is required.

Good morning, Here's a couple pics from this morning, plants are doing good except for caterpillars, found another 6 yesterday in the Mango (pure Indica). We also lost a couple nice branches from the twilight and a white queen, due to the rain and wind this past week.
Will be out in the garden today and will take some more pics to post up. Almost time to cut a couple of the smaller plants, tricolms are really turning amber in the crooked prairie, white queen, mango and twilight. :peace:

Just made it through the whole journal. Your shit looks phenomenal! I did a pretty good sized outdoor grow myself this year, but all were grown in pots. I loved the raised planter beds your have your babies in. That is exactly what I wanted to do, but I don't have that luxury as I'm renting my house. But I did get my juicy fruit to reach 8 feet. Took clones off the first one and ended up wit about 12 6+ ft plants. Very happy so far, but the bitches are taking forever to flower. they are about two weeks into flowering. And only one of them is really starting to develop. The clones are just starting to form lil hairy heads. But your grow is amazing, and the journal has taught me a few more tricks and such that I will surely put to use next summer. Do you do any indoors? I can't remember if you mentioned too much about that or not. Anyway, happy growing and keep up the good work. I'll be in touch buddy
