My 1st BubblePonics

I put some gnatrol in my bubbleponics unit, and then it smelled like a foot within a few hours. I washed it out and had clean water going in it for awhile, then put a small dose of micro/bloom/gro in there.. around 300ppm . They are growing.. but the fan leaves keep dying, so its weird. I think I probably am having problems with root rot. aside from the pH fluctuations I have been having.

I think that these in the bubbleponics unit will eventually die out.. they don't seem to be getting better really and there is nothing I can do about the temperature of the reservoir.. and the simple fact is that it will only get worse when I turn my 600 on, so I decided awhile ago that bubbleponics was probably not the smartest idea for me at the moment. I think that cloning in some perlite will be a great alternative, and will be easier to transplant into either hempies or regular soil and perlite mix. I think I might go with 50/50 perlite and sunshine 4 mix, depending on what is available, as some wizened old souls have suggested.

fortunately I have some clones going, and seedlings as well. I am currently in the process of guestimating when the clones and seedlings will be ready to throw into flower.. i want to put them in at the same time.

Alright; so I was going to throw away my bubbleponics unit ladies.. because they look like they will never amount to shit, and I have cloned a bunch of them. BUT this way I will learn (hopefully) to overcome this problem/deficiency, whatever the hell it is, and also learn more about flowering plants..

So screw it, I am flowering them. Plus I might get some nug out of it, AND my clones and seedlings wont be ready for another month anyways I am thinkin.

Below;

My cloning booth with clones.. and Megan.

My bubbleponcs under the 600.. The JackHammer (gunther) looks like it is on crazy pills...But has also grown the most in the past 2 weeks.

Oh lawd, they are not looking too happy. Give it a shot though, just look out for mold when you have deficiencies like that during flower. The seedlings look great, the new clones look a lot better than the original seedlings they came from did. The hempy nursery cup looks great, nice and clean, looks like it is easy to maintain.

Don't worry bro, I massively fucked up my first round. If you tried my first batch you would never believe that I went so far with it. Not in a million years.

Thanks man. I have to laugh to keep from crying sometimes
I know the feeling all to well. What are your PPMs at? They have been so low for so long, I wonder what would happen if you started to slowly bump it up until you are juicing them. Check out Sannies feeding recommendations too. I've been looking at a lot of Sannies lately, I'm thinking of picking some up. I don't see a lot of Sannies here in socal. So Cal is obsessed with breeding it's own stuff, so I like to get back to the classics and "the sure thing" once in a while.

Now you must excuse me, while I rocket myself to the moon, whooosh!!

they are at 400ppm ; but still crispy as you can see.. and showing signs of nute burn. So I am just as confused as these plants are, if not more so. (sigh).. this weed I got is bullshit. I thought it was going to be the real deal blueberry and expected way more out of the pineapple express.

I don't believe it's nute burn anymore, I think they are just underfeed; "turn up the heat!" 600ppm, lets fucking go for it!

Pineapple Express is a name that goes around wayyyy to much because dealers think it's funny, but there is Pineapple Express available from G13 Labs (named after the movie of course) and they just came out with a auto version that sold out in just a few hours. I am pissed. I saw the email only a couple hours after it was released and it was already gone.

There are a lot of potential problems there. Ca/mg is usually the first suspect in this stage of growth, potassium and sulfur are also big possibilities, it could also be iron. What are you feeding them? If you aren't using it already I suggest a ca/mg supplement and blackstrap molasses.

Wudup Canna; I have done some heavy reading through your threads now, and damn dude, you seem like you might have grown a few plants before, haha. Props homie.

My opinion is they need way more nutrients. I used 1/2 of the recommended dosage of grow/micro/bloom from AN and ended up with 800ppm week 1 and I bumped to 950ppm week 2 with no problems. My plants look identical in size to yours but mine are green and happy with no yellowing.

All Hydro; Thanks for putting in man. I think you may be right, of course I have been having issues with high res temps and slight root rot.. pH has stabilized but had a week or two there where it was all over the fucking place, and I had to check it like every two hours or it would climb super high.

I am about to post some more pics.. they DO look like they need more food, and everyone seems to have ppm's way up in comparison... but they also show signs of nute burn (burnt tips) .. anyways thanks. I will post some new pics of them now that the light is off.

Severely underfeed and overfeed plants can look similar. But I do think it is time to bump it up, like I've been saying. Dude, I have so many seedlings going right now, it's almost overwhelming. But I'm so fucking stoked to have so many. I'm going to fill a whole 4x4 tent with moms and start a bitching clone farm I think. I just need some people to sign some co-op papers.

I bumped them up to 500 the other day.. I will bump em to 600 or 700 today then - New Root mass is developing out of the sides of the pots in the BP unit, making me think that the nute burn is caused by the root mass that looks like it is affected most by root rot- cannot uptake the nutes.. or something which is causing the burn.

I am also thinking that the new root growth out of the sides of the pot instead of the bottom of the bigger rotting roots is indicative of them being dead. Should I cut these hoes up? cut some dead root matter off to make room for the new growth? I am thinking that once the new growth hits the water it will all be the same and it will start rotting as well.. as of now the new growth looks healthier than any of the root systems I have seen develop so far.. anyways. will post some pics soon - had trouble last night with the room-mates-

Some photos of the clones, some not looking too hot..others look pretty good (about 4 of them) some pics of the seedlings.. some slight yellowing and curling downage going on.. maybe from the 250ppm I initially dosed the rockwool in, but I think they will be ok.

Clones are getting 250-300ppm one day, then water the next two feedings. today they got the juice...

Gunther is definitely a girl, so is Emma Watson - All three are looking better now that there is new root growth occurring. Pics of roots..

I am excited about Gunther because there are so any damn bud sites.. and even though he/she looks like shit, dey stinkin.

Megan looks dead in the hempy... probably wont last too much longer.
Bumped nutes up 100ppm.

Your roots actually look great, and more roots are coming out of the side than the bottom because that is how cannabis grows, it is a annual, not a perennial. Hempy bucket looks fucked, and I don't know what is wrong with the seedlings, they look more hungry than they do overfeed, which is weird since they are so young. Megan looks pretty fucked,.

Trim up those flower plants at the bottom. No dead leaves allowed. And any those super wimpy branches should be chopped at the bottom of the plants too.
