man I checked it out bro,sucks:-( but i think you are doing everything right. meanwhile i was doing some research and found that its suggested to keep the T5 light 6-8'' away from the canopy of the plants. I have kept it about 2,lol. I did notice 1 or 2 leaves that looked burned but i just thought they were nute burned....oh well maybe ill take it up a bit,....

what do you think did it to your plants? I mean do you know what caused it exactly so that you can look out for that shit ever happening again.

Still looking nice. If I could make a suggestion it would be to wait to flower until all plants have showed sex. It may very well be when they are double the size they are now. Just don't do what I did and go to flower before you know. That way if you end up with fewer females than expected, they are still in veg so you can grow em a little bigger to fill all your space. I now have two females out of nine plants I started with and a half empty flower room:sad:. If you end up with too many females for the space just cut one or two up for clones. And the one other thing is light burn doesn't look at all like nute burn. The one instance I've had, the entire top of the plant yellowed a bit and there were black burn marks near the leaf edges.

I think Mared is right. From what I've been reading, if you switch to the 12/12 cycle before they show preflowers, they are also more likely to go hermie.

Why not wait until they are a bit bigger, take a clone from each and put the clone into flower to determine sex. Then you know what you have. Just be sure to clearly mark which clone came from which plant...

Good luck

Thanks for droppin in guys:-) but yeah i agree Mared, I will let them veg until they show me. This way it gives me time to get the nutes down and make sure they are healthy. They seem pretty healthy now,and I can't believe how much they stink LOL. you read about the smell, but until you grow you will never really know, what a distinct and awesome smell. I'm still keeping the T5 about 2 inches away, I don't have burning, just had a case of nute problems. K, lets see what happens;-)

Ok, I researched how to LST my plants. I had a real uneven canopy brewing and I want to get the most of my 400 watt hps when the time comes so thought id start controling the canopy now. I hope i did ok I did 5 of the Bubs that where atleast 4'' and left the other 2 for now b/c they arent ready yet. I purchased the green ties from my hydro shop today when i was there buying a 400 watt bulb, and The Equalizer. Used long bamboo skewers to twist the tops to. There is so much new growth exposed directly to light now i cant wait for them to grow upward. I have decided to go 24hours with the lights, i thought i read somewhere that if you switch from 18/6 to 24 hours during veg you can shock the plants. I later found out that this is not true. There really is no reason for a dark period during veg. one more thing I got a ppm nute TDS meter. I am gonna test my run off next watering. My goal right now is to maintain nutes at b/w (min)500-800(max) ppm for now. so here are some pics. last 2 pics shows how much more even the plants look under the t5:-)ONE LAST THING SPRAYED ALL THE LST'D PLANTS WITH A LITTLE WATER MIXED WITH SUPERTHRIVE.

A little disapointed:-( I measured my ppm of the nutes in the run-off. It was 140x10 which puts me at 1400ppm, isnt that too high. I thought i needed to keep it under 900 in soil. I dont want to flush and they seem to be ok so I guess we will see. I will go straight water next watering.

yeah I know right, I didnt just gave them water/superthrive and the ppm was so high in the soil. but then again i heard bubbilicious are kind of forgiving with the nutes and they look healthy so I'll give it time. How are your ladies coming along? I am gonna go check now;-)

ok well i picked up a Phat filter today 6'' b/c i need to scrub that air they are stinky, lol. It looks like the LST worked out because they are super bushy now with multiple new tops. PH in runoff was 6.3, temps got a lil warmer 79/80 b/c here in FL its 93 outside so its gonna happen. I am still having a high read on my nutes in the runoff. Last test had me really high at 163x10:-( even though the plants arent looking like they are doing bad, I gotta get this under control before it catches up. i think the fact that I am keeping the PH right is buying me time. Gonna get some pics up soon.........

Thanks man:-) well i got the HPS 400 rollin, now this will eventually only be my flowering room in the future and I will build a veg area with the T5. So I really would recomend to everybody that wants to use a HPS light to independantly air cool their hood wall to wall. My temps are cooler then they where with the T5,lol. I hooked a 4'' inline fan to the wall/attic and ran it to the hood, back out to seperate hole which i sealed with all purpose calking. Now the attic air out the wall cools the light, and my ambient temp isnt effected. well i hope you guys like it, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMENT:-) it was a lot of work setting this up. the canopy is coming along aswell Kush are catching up to the Bubbilicious......til next time
