My 1st Grow Log (with corresponding anxiety)

Good afternoon community! So excited to transition from forum creeper to poster to share with you all my journey of the first grow. I've been learning so much over the past few weeks and hope to continue to strengthen my knowledge and collaborate with experienced (and non-experienced) growers. Even if no one has feedback, at least I will have documentation of my grow :) So feel free to ask questions, give advice, or just peruse.

I've modeled my first grow after the youtuber named Cali Green. Video in particular that inspired my grow was the bubble bomb grow -> (Link)

Open Questions

1) I can't help but notice that my grow seems much slower than others I have seen on the forum. That said, there is new growth every day (albeit slower than I expected) and the majority of leaves look very healthy, especially the newest leaves. I'm guessing that over-watering in my first week and lack of real light for the first few days slowed things down for me.
  • Any other ideas of causes for slow growth? I've seen other posts note that the plants can take a while to establish roots and then begin quicker development
  • Should I be concerned or just continue on with what I'm doing? I let the medium dry out much more (3 days) before re-watering and think I will have better watering discipline from here on out
2) Drooping leaves from over-watering or genetics?
  • I've watered all the cups similarly, but the almost parabolic droop only exists for the two goo strains and the leaves themselves seem healthy and continue to show new bladed leaves underneath
  • Could the droop of the first leaves true leaves be driven by genetics? Other leaves seem perky and upright but are still 1/4 to half the size...

Setup / Gear

Carbon Filter ->vivosun 4 inch air carbon filter
Light -> Spider Farm SF-2000 LED
Tent -> 48inx24inX72in TopoLite Full range
Exhaust Fan -> Terrabloom ECMF 4 inch inline
Strains ->
1) Blue Goo (Regular Seed / sex unknown): Named 'Colonel Mustard'
2) Blue Goo (Regular Seed / sex unknown): Named 'Henrietta'
3) Fallout Shelter (Regular Seed / sex unknown): Named 'Smackle'
Seedling Soil -> Black Gold Seedling Mix
Seedling -> Soil cups with a ridiculous number of holes punched into the bottom
Super Soil -> Coco Coir, worm gold plus, down to earth azomite, down to earth rose and flower, cedar forest compost, perlite, and down to earth organic crab meal, clover
Water -> RO water picked up from a local dispenser in 3 gallon jug (aerated using a sanitized air stone and pump for a few hours prior to watering)

Journey
May 7th -> began germinating seeds using paper towel method
May 10th -> Checked the bags and moved sprouted seeds into their soil / red solo cups and placed on windowsill (light hadn't arrived but received multiple hours of direct sunlight, moistened top soil
May 14th through today ->
  • Light finally arrived (14th) and it is much needed as one seedling has significant stretch from lack of light (broke soil faster than others)
  • Getting a hang for watering, unfortunately didn't start off in a good way because I was lightly misting top soil multiple times a day because people said to ensure it was still wet. I have since learned how dry cycles are important. still trying to find the balance between 'top soil must never dry out' but not over-watering. Leaves of the two Blue goo strains seem to be droopy but still appear vibrant, green, and full of life (even look frosty). New growth looks extremely healthy...
  • Light is hanging between 24 and 30 inches from top of plant at full tilt (I didn't have the 3mm screwdriver necessary to dim the light)
  • Temps are in between 69-78 F and humidity is around 50-60 though I do not trust my hygrometer and will be getting a new one soon.
  • Mixed my super soil last Sunday (see above for ingredients), placed into 5 gallon fabric pots and planted the clover as cover crop and it is slowly developing
  • May 25th, leaves are all still very small but I see new healthy/vibrant light green leaves even since this morning
