There is a catch with these 150w e-conolights. First let me say just like most here, I love them. for the price you just cant beat it. but........... it pulls 4 amps! 3.5 once it has been running for a while. Even at 3.5, if you are running a system where you are tight on power this might not be the best choice for you. floros use far less amps and T5's have great output. But again for the money there is no other way to go. You are basiclly getting 15000 lumens for 30 dollars. no CFL or Tube can compete with that.

And by the way thatguyoverthere mind your own business no reason to point out peoples mistakes unless your trying to help. "we are living in a society here"
I'd also like to think that this "society" is capable of reading instead of just being idiots and asking for everything to be done for them.

Not tryin to be a dick (just sarcastic) but your not the first (or last) person to ask right off the bat instead of reading. It gets old really quick.

Hint... take a look on page 3 and stop being lazy.
wow sum mufckas cant read 4 shit
qft.

Holy shit 4 amps!? Holy shit indeed. Not too big of a deal to me as I'm only going to be using about 10-11amps total (when the lights are on anyways)... 8 of those being 2 econo's.

If I may ask, how exactly did you get those numbers? I'd assume its power ratings are located somewhere on the lights but "cheap" electronics are known to not always show this info.

Well put ThatGuyOverThere, the purpose of the thread was to show people how I constructed my light and setup, if people can't take the time to read about it, what was the point of even opening the thread?

On another note, if anyone has any real questions I would be more than happy to help!

It will absolutely work in a rubbermaid, just make sure you have lots of intake and definitely an exhaust fan. I am using it as primary lighting in a 2x3ft area, with 8 cfl's as supplemental light.

Quick question, have read a lot but just want to make sure..

One I get this light (ordered yesterday) all I have to do is take an extension cord, cut off the female end, and connect the 3 wires to the corresponding 3 wires in the light?

I'm not the best electrician so I'll probably keep the ballast/(base?) of the light in my grow box unless it is really easy to keep it outside of it somehow (don't know how that would work with the socket placement).

Thanks for any and all comments.
