We think it was my mother in law. We had to get the seeds sent to hers because when we sent them to ours customs seized them. She started abusing me for some reason not to long ago, so we basically told her she can't come round and see our child aka her grandson anymore.
That's the only person I told.
Well that pretty much narrows it down then if that's the only person who knew. But regardless people talk. As far as her abusing you that's a classic case of someone showing their ass because they think they have a 1-up on someone. It's a really nasty trait in people. It really shows someone's true character. I've had a lot of run ins with people like that and cut the cord on them as soon as I figure them out. This is also a concrete example on you don't let anyone know no matter who it is. Once that idea of them having the ability to gain some sort of leeway over someone sinks in chances are they'll start doing it. I'm sure in her case it was the freedom to walk all over you.
Hell I had an ex flat out try and extort me before after we parted ways a few weeks later. Keyword was try.
It was probably someone she put up to it. Chances are she pulled the damsel in distress card and some some "high and moral" idiot jumped right on the opportunity to white knight her.
And or a family member on her side.
Regardless though considering you're moving I wouldn't get any other plants going for a while. Even after you move. Take the season off indoors and just do an outdoor thing next year maybe. Sounds to me like she's going to keep causing trouble. If she already had you ripped she can only become more vindictive from there.
