My 5th and largest grow attempt.

Howdy!

This is my 5th grow in this room, and in my life. round one yielded 2 pounds of mediocure/lame smoke.the grow was organic soil. 2nd grow died over night in week three of flower. it was my first attempt in a CAP ebb and grow/STG system. 3rd grow yielded 1 pound of some really tasty and potent meds. this was grown in hydrton in the ebb and grow system. 4th round had just been harvested last night, and is drying until total weight is available. The grow has been my most successful using a very simple system. I began flower very early, 6-8" tall, and used several 1 gallon pots.

Here are some pics on Harvest day. I had Jack Herrer, Bubble yum, Purps, Ice, Jah Kush, Cali Orange.

All the cali orange trimmed up. This stuff is crazy dense.

IMG_0450.jpgIMG_0449.jpg

These things had droplets of sap coming out of the buds. i had no idea what it was, so i tasted it. It was the sweetest sugar i have ever tasted. i figured nothing as sweet as that does harm to anyone, so i no longer worried. It was a trip.

MY 5TH Grow Starts Here!!!!

My Flower room
3000w
air cooled hoods
sealed room
co2
Soiless mix
18, 3 gallon buckets filled with Jack Herrer
AN -Connoisseur A and B
-bud igniter
-bud factor x
-rhino skin
The plants have been vegged for 1 month. Approximately 24 inches tall. The front five have been topped two inches from the top. Just to see some comparisons.

there is also a mother (cali orange) in their that started to pre bud in the veg room, so i tossed her in here. and there are 9 Jack Herrer's that where runts from a previous grow. The mother and mature are 3 and a half weeks into flower. showing some great buds.

The 18 Jack Herrer's that went into Flower Last night after the Harvest fest.

These are the 9 Jack Herrer's and Cali Orange that went into flower 4 weeks ago.

Sprouting some beautiful buds.

My VEG Room
1000w MH
T5
EZClone 30 spot (not currently full)
6 Bubble Yum
6 Jack Herrer
Just Transplanted yesterday.
3 of each flavor will eventually replace the Jacks and Cali mother in four weeks.
I hope to get a system perpetual, so that i am harvesting 6 plants, under one of the three lights, every month. although, that only gives me an eight week flower. I would rather have a 9 week flower period. so i will see what i can come up with.
in the mean time. enjoy my grow. i am nervous about the size of these plants. but i think im ready for the challenge.

Welcome to the CVBUD show!

This camera is sooooo awesome. so i figured it put up a few more pics of the room and its surroundings. Its not hospital clean. but there are a few things that stand in the way of that for the time being. hope to have it spotless soon.

So recently i have been dipping my clones into a solution that helps fight PM. Does anyone do something similar to this? If so, what is your mixture or solution? My dipping solution is a little zone, saturate, and some concentrate neem oil. add water, and dip away. the mixture is the same as the foliage spray i use, i just dip the entire plant.
im thinking about dipping the 18 new plants in flower just to try and help prevent some break outs. My last harvest revealed some PM up inside some of the lower buds. so id like to try a few things that might get rid of PN entirely by the time harvest comes around.

anyone?

ok. the harvest from grow 4 has been set in chars to cure. been drying for about 5 days. stems are just starting or already popping. 616 grams was the net weight. under two lights which comes out to be about .308 gpw. not a great yield. but the bud is awesome!

Thanks. I hope to yield much more this go around but maintain the quality. cause i have been hittin the Cali Orange all night and this stuff is awesome. The smell is as fresh as an orange tree. The smoke is smooth and straight to the point. i feel heavily medicated, yet not finished. Its like i cant walk, but ill get up to hit it again.

wish i had some better looking pics, but i seem to be running into some issues. any ideas out there on what the source of this problem is?

Did you end up doing that to this plant? What are your temps and humidity at?

I dipped them when they where young. i was thinking about doing it again right now just before they start to flower. i am approaching week 2 in flower. so they should start to go crazy here soon.

temps 78 lights on and 70 lights off
humidity stays between 30-50%

I don't know what could be wrong your leaves. Did any of your other grows do this? If not, just try to think of what you are doing different.

well i changed to a soiless mix. thats one thing. i have a new probe for my ph meter. and i have changed nutes. so i hear what your saying. cause no, this did not happen with my previous grows. so i have been trying to take a few things into account and try to narrow them down to one or two problems. i have a good feeling it was a combination of ph imbalance and heat stress from the floor heater used to heat the room during lights out.
we shall see what happens next. they seem to have recovered and are moving forward after i adjusted the heater and gave them a good ph flush.

Outstanding growing lad, just had a question What breeder is that cali orange originally from? I have been wanting to get some seeds but don't know which breeder to go for? Tell me does it have that really sharp citrus smell to it, coz i have bought some cali orange before or so the guy said but figured he wasn't lying coz it was the most citrus bud iv ever smelt it was like smelling an orange freshly cut. Ever since iv been wanting to grow but wanna make sure i get from the right breeder. Nice1

dude your not bull shittin. that stuff smells exactly like what you said. the last two weeks in flower, my entire room smelled like a breath of fresh air. i felt like i was breathing a forbiddin air because there was nothing that i could think of that smelt better in my life.
i actually picked up the clone from a local cloner. i would like to get another one. the larger plant in my room right now is the old Cali Orange mother. I had to flower it cause it started to pre-flower under 24hr of veg light. so i figured that it was on its last leg and i should just flower it. im really bummed, but that tells me the cloners mother may be on its down leg as well. so i would love to find some seeds for it as well.
the pics of the buds on the table with the cig pack is all the cali orange. huge nugs. tasty nugs. the smoke is unreal. and like you said, the smell is like nothing out there. im soooooo pleased with this strain i would love to find some good seeds for it. cause if i do, there will never be a grow where i dont have a little cali orange in there somewhere.

i have the camera with me today. so i will take some updated photos of the room. its starting to get crazy in there. gonna really have to keep my eyes peeled for PM to be hidden in those tight places.

thanks for the post

Hey CVbud - looking great! Thanks for the pics - keep 'em comin! What soiless mix are you using?
not 100% sure what the brand is. comes in a big black square bag. i have not been terribly happy with it. for some reason i dont think it hold nutrients real well, and i think its not airy enough. so with the new batch of veg plants you see in the newest pics, i mixed half and half with happy frog soil. the idea is that i will give them a very nice mild nutrient base for the first few weeks and than start supplementing as needed. ill be down in the room tonight and ill try to remember to write down the name of our soiless mix.
thanks for checking out the grow.

I'm glad to see they made a recovery, lookin strong! Stay at it!
thanks brotha. i am not sure what the actual problem was, but i changed everything we all talked about. I moved the space heater, i bought a new ph probe for my hanna triple, and a hand help meter. so now i check the ph with two different meters. and i gave them a few watering's without nutrients to try and get back down to a level playing field. seems to be working. plants look real happy.
