my bud

my plant is flowering and seems to be flowering for the last three months, it has the white hairs and eveything and just now is starting to get dark leaves where the bud is suppose to be. but my boyfriend looked at it and said there really is no buds on the plant, and it is a female you can clearly see that. I just got new light about a week ago so maybe that will perk it up ( 4 26 watt cfls was using incodescent) i water ever 4-5 days depending if the soil is wet or not and nute it every other feeding, not sure what to do, feel like my time was wasted on all of this

will put new pics up in a few days, but here it is when it started to flower

you won't grow good bud with Fluros, they don't give the right kind of light. they are find for vegging.

there is no way it's been flowering for 3 months, my plants have more hairs than that 3 weeks in.

...do you have them on a 12hour photo period? ...you should be given' them 12 hours of UNINTERUPTED darkness to start your flowering. Any light exposure can reverse them back into the veg state.

Don't think it's getting enough light... get the 150W CFLs. They're 42W incandescent equivalent. Put them 2-3 inches away from the plant. Don't use any incandescents; waste of time.

...wow, I've never experienced anything like that. Then again, I've never tried to bloom without a HPS. I have hairs like that in 2 weeks, or maybe earlier with some strains. Forsure a light issue.

you CAN grow good bud with flouros... you just have to know how to do it.

its hard to see people make such silly statements sometimes...

if you meant taht you cant grow good bud with incandescents than you are absolutely correct... but flouros are fine as long as you know what you are doing

hi just a quick question why cfl and not some sort of hid (High Intensity Discharge ) bulb sysystem such as a 250w Hps (High Pressure Sodium)

you will always gett better results with a hid bulb



as aposed to using small cfl bulbs



i just think that if your using lighting and groiwing dope get the best lights and nutes you can and your sure to get better bud also be be scared of the nutes now they should be on nearly every feed

the cfl setup your using is a lill low on wattage so the bud production will be slower than usual and the bud will be alot more loose once it is finished flowering and may not be as strong as it could be

if you have a small grow space or problems with the temps that would be cause by using a hps why not try the envirolites there like massive cfl light bulbs i use a 200w blue spectrum for veging but they also come in 125W lights also they dont need a ballast so no ballast to hide

i run my 200w bulb and 2 fans off one extention cord and have the extention in a timer straight into the socket on the wall so once the light comes on the fans turn on too i have had amazing results using it for veging my garden but the flowering or red spectrum version is built to flower plants under the 12 12 light but you must make sure there is no light leaks in the grow space when lights are out otherwize the plant may just keep jumping between vegging and flower

also incandecent bulbs wont work to grow dope there not the right sort of light spectrum to do any good

HID is best for flowering. But CFLs do just fine. Get that little girl in a place were you can get a 12 on/ 12 off light cycle going. The 12 off period should be completely dark with NO light at all. Put thos floros about 2 inches from the plants. Wont be alot of bud, but you will have learned alot.

it is in a small corner of the closet, it is on a 12/12 cycle and i say thay are almost 1 1/2 inches from the plant, my walls are bright white and there is a fan on them i water every 4-5 day depending if the soil is we tor not. will try to get pics up

Gotta tell you I am impressed at how far you grew that plant with just incondescent lights. You must have a green thumb. Keep up the good work. I bet it will not be anytime before you are growin nugs like a pro. +rep

im trying hopfully my other two plants will come out better

I didn't have that much cash flow at the time it buy hid (High Intensity Discharge )that is why i started it for own personal use
