My First Closet Grow Bagseed

  • heres my closet. its my living room closet so theres good air flow in the room the closet is in. i have a standing air conditioner that i have on medium fan mode blowing up over plants and lights and i have a 2 fan window fan at the base of the door atempting to suck air in the .5 inch crack at the bottom between the tile. hopefully this set up should work right? i have a month old plant in soil and some sprouts in soil and another sprout in a bubbleponic setup with a 13gal air pump and a air stone. my closets 5x4x10 witch is a big upgrade from my 3x2x1.6 box. i hope theres enough air flow going into the room.. i cant cut holes or anything. ive been 12/12 for 4 days now. ill add more 2700ks once sex shows i have 5 daylight 6500k and 2 2700k atm​

thank you. yah i saw some big huge 63 watt cfls at rite aid. 250 wat equiv i think they were huge but they only have soft white ones they are 13 bucks imma buy more when more buds show. and maybe add some more y sockets and more lights so i c an add more plants

yeah man for safety purposes id suggest another light source because you already have a bucket load of Ys on there. pay attention to real watts to not equiv even though its nice you arent sucking down as much power :D good luck.

thanks crazy. hopefully my babys get enough fresh air flowing. and i would love if my plants get big enough i have to take the off the bar stools they are on. that would give them like 7 feet till light if it was at bottom of the shelf

well my socket says max 660 so the 7 20 or so wat cfls really isnt much.. i could stick 3 more on there easily

yeah by all means give it a try. ive heard a couple people talking about fires happening with the Y-Y-Y but never did get around to asking what watts they were drawing. you arent using very many watts right now so your probably right

might wanna add a t8 fluorescent, costs like 10 bucks at lowes. cfls dont travel too far but you may be able to do it a little bit off to the side. looks good though, the bigger one looks pretty happy. seems like they're getting enough air if they've been growin this long, if you dont have a carbon emitter you can always just blow some smoke at your plants, the extra co2 is good.

yah i feel safe adding 3 more not like 6 or 7 more haha im not gonna double up. goodnight forums imma take another bong toke and join my plants in my dreams lol :)

and i had my plants in a 3x2x1.6 foot box since today. so im hoping they liike there new home. and my mom is a chain smoker of weed and cigs and she smokes inside and at her work desk witch shes at all day, being she works from home for kaiser, witch is right next to my grow room. ill post pics up in the morning when the lights are on :)

hopefully cig smoke wont hurt them, nicotine kills plants i think. i forget what it was, but your probably fine. you should try hot boxing the room with a couple doobies though, its good for them.

Nicotine is bad for seedlings and seeds in the shells that is why everyone must wash there hands before handling seeds even during germination

heres and update!


  • when i went to transplant my plant cause it was rapidly growing to big for its pot.when i went to drop the plant into the new pot half of the old dirt broke off and fell into the pot before the plant. there were some roots going to bottom of pot so i know i damaged alot. there was still a good 4 inches of dirt in between the top of dirt and bottom to where it broke. do you think the plant will be okay... heres a pic of after i transplanted.. i would hate to kill it it was growing a inch in width a day!​

id say give her a good flush for the transplant, give her a little bit of super thrive and youll be good. poke holes in the soil a few inches from the mainstem if your afraid your gonna get root rot from all the excess moisture.

been just using african violet 1 time a week. slowed down tho cause i started to see slight burn on newer tips. seems like the transplant didnt do much. altho i damaged roots its not drooping. lights just went out so wells see in the morning. the 2nd set of 7 leaf leaves are coming up so ill be able to tell if they get any bigger.

and i already did give a good watering after transplant. i always do. im going to buy 3 4 foot 2 light t12 fixtures and add my 7 existing bulbs to the sides. stay tuned and keep an eye our for when i add them :) time to smoke me a fat bowl of some Earth Og out my biohazard bong with a couple of ice cubes and pass out.
