My First DWC Grow w/ Short Rider from Nirvana

If my math is correct this is Day 10.

So far everything is looking good. I changed water out a couple of days ago and cleaned the air stones and any buildup developed in other areas of dwc. I used Hydrogen peroxide and lots of water to flush it all out.

I am still using 1/4 tsp per gallon of grow big. Does anyone suggest I try 1/2 tsp per gallon next water change?

I have included pics of the roots and how they are doing in the water. As you can see I am only using water submerged and not any pumps. They seem to be doing fine unless anyone else thinks differently.

Please I use all input as this is my first serious DWC closet grow.

I still have my other 3 dwc container and I am contemplating buying g13 fem seeds from attitude for it.

The temps are 82.5 within grow area and 86.5 under the lights. I took the pic to show where the fan placed at. Perhaps I should put the fan above? Seeing how hot air rises correct?

My humidty is at 41 % now. Which is where it should be. The weather is suppose to be dropping as well so that should help until I am able to get a ac unit of some type to help control temps.

The one plant the leaves are kind of saggin anyone know why?

When should I increase the nutes? AS the bottom leaves kind of curling inside and slightly yellow. I did not know if it needed more nutes or not. I also went ahead and switched to 20/4 light schedule. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do seed wise.

I took some really good bag seed I had and put them in plugs to germinate. I will be placing them in a soil container, preferably a small container. ANyone suggest a size, 3 gallon or perhaps less? I figured I could do like several small plants inconjunction with the autoflowering low ryder. Veg for a month or so by time I flower short ryder should be ready to harvest if they auto. go into flowering mode.

Ok it is Day 12. So I added the HPS cool tube into the closet only to realize one of the yo yo hangars does not work. I must of broken it.

Anyways I am concerned about the yellowing of the leaves. WHAT DO I DO? I cant figure out why..!!!

Anyways I dont fully have the hps hooked up as I need to add ventilation to it. I am concerned about my lighting issue!!!

Should I take out the t5 and just leave the 400 w hps? Possibly add some fluros 6500k. Then I can keep the t5 for a veggin room?

Or keep both in which is adding alot of heat!!

I added like 10 more seeds or so. I figured I do what ever is shows best growth. These are seeds I just gathered from good bag weed. I dont know why I did it I figured maybe I can veg it for a month or so. THen when its time to harvest short rider I can flower those. Just a thought.

I really want to buy ak47 autos.. I heard good things about em. I am really on a budget and hope that I can flip what I spent come time for harvesting.

I can use all the input I can get as I dont want to fuck my grow up. I am spending alot of time and money into this and I want to get premium results although I am new at this, I want best results I can get.

OK so I am throwing things out here, but I am going to invest in a window ac to help with temps. That way I can try to have a flower room and veg room in same room divided by panda film.

I can just buy the roll by 10 ft long and drape it from celing. just a thought.... anyways I cant get my other damn timer to work can someone help me with it! I thing either its a product malfuntion or operator error.

wat kinda room is this in...cus i mean i use my 400 MH ina closet with jus a couple fans and i dont have a problem with ventilation but either way id keep those t5's cus hps'es arent the correct light spectrum for veg. i mean it would help but i wouldnt bank completely on jus the HPS...t5s have the correct spectrum for veg.

Let me retract my statement, I just went in and it was 104 right under the lights! So I really need a AC bad to keep temps at ideal spot if I want both lights in here. I am also concernd is that my light will have ac vent attached to it. So how do I move the light?

i guess chains and hooks?....but ya those temps will deff kill ur plants id do something bout that asap. and ya but for the time being u should deff keep the t5's actually id even keep them during flowering mixing spectrums is great no matter what kinda grow u have

Looks like heat stress. Get your temps down in there. Get a fan going or leave it wide open. You wont have to worry about smell until flowing time.

Ya that should thicken up the stem. just go pick up a small fan at wallyworld, their like 7$

They have 3 speeds and just keep it on low

Point the fan at the lights not at the plant. The leaves should just barely be moving : )

ya those are good if your using a box. Id just grab the fan from wallyworld. It moves alot of air and you wont have to worry about it burning up the fan.

I concur! the only bad thing that I have heard about the shortrider is that it is auto-flowering. so it doesint matter if you have it on 12/12 it'll flower when it gets ready! I like to be able to trick and control the plant to how I want it to be : )
