My first ebb & flow organic hydro setup

I've just recently setup my first indoor grow room, now that it's legal in my state. After doing research for the past 6 months, I decided to use an ebb and flow hydroponic system. With this DIY setup, I'm using a 4'x4'x8' grow tent, 400w HPS/MH light and a 4" 250 CFM inline fan with carbon filter. I'll be growing in the basement, so I won't have any cooling or exhaust issues. First batch will be a sativa strain called Kilimanjaro. Excited to start my first indoor grow!

I have more info with pictures and a video of my ebb & flow test progress on my blog located HERE.

Any advice or questions, please feel free to comment.

Man im a complete nube, but I just finished my first grow pretty successfully I think, but anyway I to plled hot air straight from the top of the room....it did work, but my yield suffered from temps staying in the 90's the how time, I sure wish I woulda went ahead and at least pulled threw a cool tube around the light. Woulda definitely helped, I only pooled around 6 oz off 1 600whps from 6 different strains. Haha and smoked it all in a month. Thats why I to am now going ebb@flow. I went from 1 light in a soil grow to now ill be pumping. 1800w over a 3x6 flood tray in a sealed room with an ac as soon as my moms are ready to take clones.

Goodluck buddy

Just a question here - since it's now legal in your state why are screwing around with a tent? And all the issues in a small space? Again I'm just asking. I'm sure you have reasons.

A friend who was growing in Utah and is now moving to Texas, gave me his tent, light and inline fan. I was originally going to build 2 rooms, which I will do in the near future, but since I got the tent, I was anxious to start growing again. I have a 12x12 shed outside that will become my grow space, but it needs electric and a little modification to the construction. Starting with the tent helps me save a little money now, and I can slowly build my other space. Since I can legally grow 4 plants, the tent will be perfect space for that, for now. Plus I can keep this in my basement, which is also my at home art studio.

This is the space that will become my grow rooms. I will be applying for a license that will allow me to grow more plants, process and sell for personal use that will become available in the start of 2016 through Oregon's OLCC.

When you get around to using your shed might I suggest insulating the shit out of it! You will run into temp issues there!

Looks like a great space! :peace:
