My First Ever Grow And It's With An AG

after a few setbacks things seem to be ok now.

i just re-hung my light so now it is even closer.

also put up some more mylar around. it isn't the best job but i still on learning curve.

right now i am just keeping eye on ph (@5-6 now) ppm(551 was last reading) and adding store bought water when needed. dont think i plan on changing res as after a few days you have to add water anyway.

also, pod number 7 was not doing good. kept replacing seeds but none would germ. i kept getting "cob web" looking fungus on seed and foam. i replaced that one with a new foam as i have the master grow kit from AG.

if it no take then i just scrap it and go with six. i'll call it a male to make myself feel better.

now ya got me worried my house is gonna burn down haha well I hope nothin bad happens while I'm at work the paper has only been up for less than a day so hopefully its not hot enough to burn and its not touching the light at all. As for recessing I've actually done that too a couple of my plants I just didn't know the terminology. When it comes to nutes and ph I'm currently using the nutes the AG came with and they're doing great so far. Any input on that would be great.

well i got a question out there but have not seen any responses.

i got some hydro nutes from home depot one day while i was in there screwin around.

but i have not been using any nutes so far, as they are mostly still seedlings.
my ppm does happen to be around 400-600 although i am not doing that intentionally

when i get a couple more inches on the short ones and hopefully a couple more nodes i will switch to flower on 12/12 and start adding nutes.

I dunno about that I started nutes from day 1 and I've had success. In about a week or so I'm gonna start my flowering with 12/12 and prolly buy different flowering nutes. Oh and all my nutes are already ph balanced.

look yall. its been 4 months since i started with my ag . only use the starting nutes they came with for the first 2 weeks. 2 tabs should be good. dont give liquid nutes until week 4 or 5 . use hydrogen peroxide, epsom salts, air pump n air stones through the latch in the back . make sure the roots dont get sucked up in the pump. chec k every 2 weeks whgen you change water. theres an adjustment knob on the inside of the pump to control flow . . cover all light holes up with foil tape. usually veg for 2 months then switch .

well things running pretty good compared to my last results. think I'll have patience and wait for some kind of problem to come up before i deviate to much from what i doing now.

i have access to all kinds of chemicals from nitric acid, phosphoric acid, hcl, sulfuric 50%h2o2 you name it.

this is just a first grow learning exp. if i can get some females from these then it is going into another spot right next to the one i have for a sog rotation.

as i upgraded this AG i bought extra supplies and can now see what upgrades i now need(lights)

only have limited grow area and with lowering producing 2-3 times the height i will need to sex and flower soon. somewhere between 6-8 inches should be good. i know that sounds small but only have about 30inches in height at the moment. i will also try to employ toping, fimming and bending to try and maximize area/yield.

i am happy to see the results of all the different ways the AG is being used. pretty versatile tool from beginner to expert. its what has kept me trying.
next will be the dank seeds.

The guy at the hydro store told me that people can flower whenever they want. I'm not for sure on that though, but I have heard of people vegging for just a couple weeks and than flowering with success.

that about all i doing except for my big one. that will have closer to 4 weeks on it or so by the time my other little ones get a couple of nodes.

think i gonna change res in a week with distilled water and adjusted nutrients.

after doing some more reading my ppm is high for not using nutes so i think the "nestle pure life" bottled water i using is adding some things i don't want.

the ingredients are purified water, calcium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and magnesium sulfide in that order.

does anyone know if these ingredients are good?
are they causing my ppm to increase?
not changing my res seems to be working better for me than changing it. like to stay comfortable, i do.:wall::weed:bongsmilie

Almost a week strong and they're all looking pretty good. The roots have grown very well and the paper trick is working great. The two on the right are my greater successes so far and the bottom left is movin rather slow. Let me know what you think.

You should flower in the AG in 3-5 weeks from dropping the seed in....the plant should have at least 5 nodes and vigorous growth.... which can be achieved faster by having extra lights...

if you look at my pics the ones on the right are doing better than the ones on the left.

but i will say mine look exactly like yours at that stage.

right now i got 3 nodes on my two biggest ones. hoping the others catch up before flower.

(thanks Teknique70 u da inspiration - your the wind beneath my leaf)

the lights used come with the aerogarden. they aren't too specific on what the are. i have supplemented mine with a couple of t8 flouro's and an hps for flowering later.

also, i cut my light cord and hooked it up on its own timer.
i run my AG pump 24/7 i think that is the first setting.

I own the aerogarden deluxe and it has a 24/7 feature on its that's what I'm gonna run for the first 3 weeks than switch to a 18/6 or 12/12 setting for flowering. And I wasn't high I just have no idea first time remember haha.
