Hi All!!

this is my first grow and i converted this old entertainment center into a grow box. I am growing with a 150watt HPS light in a ebb & Flow system in coco, Im using ionic nuts for hard water, my PH is at 6.3.
When i started this adventure i had the plants in fox farm soil and they were not doing so well. I switch them to hydro and the have all bounced back and seem to be doing well (as far as i can tell). im growing 3 plants 1, purple strain that i was lucky enough to find in a bud, 1 white widow X Big bud & a wonderwomen. the purple im not sure if its a male of female and the other two were started from fem seeds. here are a few pics.. the purple is 3 and half weeks old the wondermomen is 2 and half weeks old and the white X bigbud is about a week and a half old.. i almos lost the wondermomen, but when i switched to ebb it has been doing great.. here are a few pics please feel free to follow and please chime in with any advice, i have done a lot of googling and now posting to get as much help for my little girls. here are some pics.....from left to right (1) purp (2) white (3) wonder

Looking nice so far - clean setup, good job. Though, I see some heat stress here and there; I want to suggest raising your light 6 or so inches.

You gonna train those? I don't see much vertical space in your setup.

Those are gonna get A LOT bigger.

So he should not worry about the fan leaf ridges folding over on themselves from the heat?

PS - the Simba is working; what vent??

haha - All in good fun

I'll agree with Wonderbutt, I like the clean set up, but the cupping on the edge of the leaf does indicate heat stress. 6 inches might not be a bad idea.

his light is being vented and is 150 watts can put my 400 watt 6 inches away from mine

Cool - you do that when they're under 6"? Are you growing the same strains? Same media? Every setup will be different and require different needs.

the stem on the purple is a little purple tinted, is this normal? and do you think feeding every 4 hours in coco is the right feed setup? and can any one tell me when should i top them ?

I agree, anytime for topping depending on situation; per your setup, I would go ahead and top them (maybe not the wonder). Maybe try out the SCROG technique for this grow?

Also, cutting the light back to 18 or 16 on may help with the heat, too. I could get into the reasoning... ah... why not: Night-time metabolic processes are important and directly related to the structure of the plant. One of those major processes is converting glucose (produced form photosynthesis) into cellulose (a main ingredient in plant architecture - also one of the oldest insulation materials used in construction today; ironic?? hmmm.. lol). In your case specifically, and imo, this will aid against hotter day temps simply by allowing your plants to prioritize cuticle developement and repair; I'm sure they'll respond vigorously.
