first off, hello rollitup!

newbie to the site but not to cannabis or growing really.. I left GC and came here cause they got sum problems... but anyways, I know a lot about smoking, cannabis, remedies, how-to's, esc.. and love to share with others as well. so hello!

This is my current grow (bag-seed, mystery weed) I kinda hurried into, just one plant, but anyways I have 180 watts of CFL on her and she's in 1 week and 5 days into flower... I just ordered a 600 watt HPS lamp, so next grow I'll be going with some Big Bud x White Widow seed under this said lamp. here's some pics of the current grow: :weed:

yeah I feel you man, I think it's just cause I don't have enough watts in there.. either way it was my fault and next grow will be 100x's better. and thanks btw. bongsmilie

T5 CFL's would do the trick closely surrounding the plant, then again HPS work just as well. I'm just being ignorant here cause I'm not a fan of the temperature maintenance with HPS's. Anyways, best of luck on your grow.

Aye the watts are important im not gonna lie. But to avoid streching always keep your plant close and not to far away from the bulb. Plus you can always LST or top your plants if space is an issue. By the way i see that your plants have alot of space to grow and strech. So next grow you should just try to keep them, 5 bulbs i think, Closer to the plant to avoid all that streching. BTW how long did you veg for?

I think i'm going to be moving into the 6x2x8 closet for next grow... I will be installing the HPS and ventilation system on Tuesday of next week.. I think I might also add a small window AC unit just incase it does turn out to be a little hot in there. (weird but whatever, gets the job done).. think i'll start both my BB x WW and Karamelo in that room and migrate the already flowering bagseed over as well.

i'm really excited about next grow though cause White Widow x Big Bud is a great combo! Karamelo is a Indica that smells and tastes like coffee and candy.. mmm... and all these under a HPS is gonna be great. plus my HUGE space to grow, so I might just grow some trees in there. (-:

OK so due to some BS, my HPS and ballast were both broken during the ship. So it looks like i'm gonna go ahead with the CFL's for one more round while I get all this shit straight. This morning I planted my Karamelo feminized seed in a Jiffy-pot and placed her in the "seeding-space". (old PC shell - stays nice and toast) I do this because the whole germination technique doesn't fit with me and I always tend to mess up the seedling before I get to actually plant it, so why not go the way nature intended? I'm using Harvest Organic Potting-Soil for the new seedling and will later transplant into 3 gallon buckets. My already-flowering bagseed is looking good! Starting to kinda fill up at the nodes. Here's some pics of the bagseed, I am waiting on my ventilation system to arrive any minute now so when it does I will post pics of my new space. :weed: plant 6.jpgphoto.jpg

That sucks about your lights.

About the LED, not sure if I can but into the hype. They are one of the most expensive, 400W of LED takes just as much power as 400W of HID and I always thought trichomes should be more derived from the genetics than lighting. There could be something to density though since they are supposed to be easier to keep cool.

If you want to be environmentally friendly grow outside :), I wish I could but the last thing I want is my kids running around beating each other with my buds like they do when they pick my limes and throw them at each other.
