My first grow, inside & out

Not sure how the journal thing works quite yet.... but getting the hang of it I guess.

Here is a link to my journal
The Beginning...

This is my first time growing inside, I have two plants flowering outside now. My outdoor plants are just bag seed, not sure of the strain (if anyone can help ID that would be fun).

So here is what I have going on:

Veg Room:
2' x 4' Grow Tent
2' 4 Tube T5 6500k
2-65w 6500k CFL (300w=)
6" Duct Fan w/ passive fresh air vent
Osculating Fan

Flower Room
4' x 4' Grow Tent
1- 400w HPS (upgrading to 600w, moving this to veg room with a MH)
6" Duct Fan w/ passive fresh air vent
Osculating Fan

What's growing:

1-Black Widdow (Clone)
1- Northern Blue (Clone)
1- Mendo Purp (Clone)
2- Mendo Purp (From Seed)

I own a small farm and use soil and compost I make myself, it has worked well for some time now for all my garden needs. I have a large greenhouse and about an acre for my garden too.

I didn't start my outdoor stuff until June so it didn't get all the time I wanted, so we will look forward to next year there. They just started flowering and they are filling out nicely. One is nice and tall the other one suffered some damage and lost a limb. It has recovered well and bulked up in the last week or so. Next year I will have toe foresight to till up a couple rows and plant some nice size clones in there next April. For now they sit in 10 Gallon pots.

I picked up this kit a while back.
Recipe For Success Starter Kit
Seems to be going fine so far. I have never used nutes before so I have been very careful with these. I'm in search for something a bit easier.

Ok, some pictures from today. Unfortunately I have been bad at keeping track of my days until recently, so all ages are approximate.

Don't know the strain, bag seed. I started Germination in late May I think. So we will say 16 weeks from seed. Been flowering for about a week.

Don't know the strain here either, a main stem broke off about 3 weeks ago but recovered well. At 16 weeks as well. Started flowering just before the one above.

Here is what I have in the Veg Tent. The two in the smart pots are the Mendo-Purp I grew from seed. Lets say about 3 weeks since seed, again bad with the calendar. The clones are Mendo-Purp, Black Widow & Northern Blue (Never heard of it, Northen Lights + Blueberry??) I do have another Mendo-Purp from seed I am going to use as a mother plant but she is not pictured.

Again, any input would be great seeing that I am new to this.

everything looks good.....I see you got some tasty strains.....you mentioned much about your outdoors.....but now venturing inside...for obvious reasons I'm sure.....I have started my first grow and owe this site a ton of credit thus far. I am using dwc/bubbleponics and nutrients from Advanced Nutrients (Sensi Grow A/B <--veg phase) (Sensi Bloom A/B with a few additives.) If you could I would go DWC/Bubbleponics as it seems to be the going thing. But everyone has a preference... Dyna-Gro is great stuff too. Check out my setup......I started a grow journal as well.

I don't think hydro is the way for me. I've been growing in soil for so long that it seems alien to me.

I like your setup there though widow, nice looking plants.

I have a bunch of Nirvana White Rhino and Aurora Indica seeds waiting too.

Progress:

ok, as expected I upgraded my 400HPS to a 600HPS in my Flower Tent and my 400MH went in to my Veg Tent. I have some good growth in my veg tent my seedlings and clones are at about 12" tall and I have cut 8 quality clones that all have rooted, some have been transplanted in to quart pots.

I am flowering a small plant that i took in from outside. It wasn't looking that good, I have had it under my 400 since 8/11/2011 on 12/12. Almost all of the lower limbs were trimmed due to damage so it's a bit top heavy, but it looks like I saved it enough to get some good bud.

My outdoor plants are coming along nicely, a few weeks into flowering now. I will be bringing them into my greenhouse here in a week or so and they will finish up in there.

Now for the pictures (Taken 9/15)

ok, another update.

my outdoor plants have been moved into my greenhouse to finish up due to crazy amounts of rain in the last couple weeks. while in there one bud was dripped on a few times and rotted up, I trimmed it up and moved it away from the leak (couldn't fix it until it dried out a bit) and now all is good.

I harvested my single indoor flowering plant at just over 8 weeks. I am sure i would have developed more if I let it go anther week or two it went well and got some good bud. Almost all of the resin glands had turned cloudy so I figured it was time to clear it out for a new crop. Plus this will give me a bit of dry herb for when I harvest my greenhouse stuff.

Ok, here are the pictures...

The Harvest:
These were taken a couple days before harvest, I will post bud pics after it's dried a bit.

The Veg Tent:
All of these were taken right after watering, so a couple may look droopy, but they are all healthy.

These are all clones that just came out of the clone box from what I have in flower now. These are my second attempts at cloning. So far I only have only lost one.

These 3 were my first attempt at cloning, I lost one of the 4 I cut. I think I was too conservative and didn't cut enough.
(More clones and an Aurora Indica from seed)

The Flower Tent:
I just put these in here yesterday some are adapting better than others, bur nothing more than some drying in the leaf tips.
