what are you using for flowering nutes? you should mix up a batch of bat guano tea... get a cheap air pump, some tubing, an air stone, some clay pellets (like the kind used for hydroponics) and a mesh bag to put them in... set the airstone on the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket along side the bag of clay pellets. next mix in some high phosphorus high potassium bat guano, fossilized sea bird guano, some worm castings, and one or two teaspoons of molasses (doesnt need to be precise)... let it brew with the air pump running for 24 hours and you will be in buisness....

the clay pellets give the beneficial bacteria a nice place to colonize while the air pump makes sure there is plenty of oxygen to keep the aerobic bacteria nice and healthy... the molasses acts like a carbohydrate with the added benefit of being high in minerals/micronutrients. you can feed ur plants this solution everytime u water, u dont have to worry about nute burn, or nute lock out and you will have some amazingly delicious buds i promise.... also i do some supplementing feeding with liquid kelp, it is high in nitrogen though so use it sparringly while ur plants are in flowering.

5-10-10 organic vegetable & plant food. (@.@ i know)

it is time to switch to flowering nutes for plant # 1 but not plant #2. Could I add guano to my tea and my 5-10-10 stuff?

July 1, Day 40, day 28 of 12-12, Day 28 plant#2. I think i'm gonna say this is week 1 of flowering for plant#1. I'm seeing presexing so i should start counting right? since i am already running 12-12.

no, i wouldnt mix them. your better off feeding on alternating days but remember the most common screw up is overfeeding and overwatering. make sure you let your plant dry out enough inbetween waterings and never feed fertilizer back to back waterings. always alternate between nutes and just plain water. start out with light feedings (25% strength) for the first cycle of feedings, than keep increasing it till week 6. i play it by ear but i generally stick to the guideline feed:water:water

yes your plants are already in flowering, you should be giving them flowering nutes as soon as you switch to 12-12.

Plant #2 should be pre-sexing any time now..lol but plant #1 is a female. if you zoom on top area of pic 3 you can see female preflowers.

No major changes to how I grow yet, but the grow isn't doing too bad for bare minimal! :D

mary is looking good, but jane not so much.. i think your compost tea might be on the strong side, espically considering it has manure that is high in nitrogen... you should cut back on it, espically now that you will be using big bud and iguana juice... maybe you can stop feeding the compost tea for awhile and see if ur second plant starts to recover. this is still the best 50w grow i have ever seen xD

Next time grow them 24/0 and LST how you want for about 2 weeks before you ever switch you 12/12. At 47 days you could be a lot farther into flowering and still have plants that size. Also you may try getting/taking some clones because they work much, much better for 12/12 from start. A plant from seed has to get to a certain size before it will flower anyway, so if you start 12/12 from seed you will just grow a stringy plant that is stretching for light 12 hours of the day until it is ready to flower.

DSCF1091.jpgfrom bagseed found on my floor behind a desk, 2 weeks vegged at this point under 2x23 watt CFLs(also flowered under the same lights). I ended up getting 3 7 inch colas off that plant totaling to about 3/4 oz. (took one of the 4 tops as a clone)

Update w/o pics: Up to 105 watts now, one of the 105s I ordered was broken on arrival so I'm waiting for a replacement. Feeding real nutes now, Iguana Juice Bloom, and Big Bud. Moved the grow to the closet but it's going to take some tweaking to be real good.
Got a Hydrometer/Thermometer, Average reading is 50% humidity and 81f (is this okay? I'm told its too hot I need to get under 80)
Got a 6'' exhaust duct fan, going to get some duct and figure out the best way to set it up to get the maximum benefit & heat extraction.
Pics soon, probably after the weekend. I'm going to Formula Drift in Monroe WA this weekend, anybody going?
Things are looking pretty good, Mary(The ugly duckling) isn't doing so hot but it just got its first feeding of big bud & I J recently so we should see some turn around. Jane(Sexy thing she is) amazes me since this is my first grow & at 18 days flowering I'm really happy with how she's looking, She's only been fed Iguana Juice once and watered twice since then. Before I leave I'm gonna do a feeding of both IJ and Big Bud. Big bud at half strength and IJ at half strength too since feeding both in 1 feeding, separately fed. I feed half litre of both mixtures. followed by 2 waterings before feeding again. They're quite fond of the new lighting upgrade, that's for sure.
