Hey everyone. This is my first journal on RIU so hopefully some of you get interested and follow along. This is also my first time growing cannabis, so any advice is welcomed.
Enclosure - Two 30 Gallon Rubbermaids.
- 6" exhaust fan
- 3" intake fan
- 4 42watt cfls
- 2 26watt cfl daylights
- 2 PVC Passive intakes
I'll be posting pictures of my enclosure soon.
I'll be growing Sour Deisel and Thia.
I germinated my seeds using the paper towel method. I stored the towels in a food container to retain moisture and kept them on top of my computer tower for warmth.
Once the seeds developed a root, I planted them in Expert Gardeners Perfect Soil.
I'm still running the lights 24/0. I'm having some problems with the timer I bought, but I'm not worried about too much light this early in life. I also bought a thermometer/hygrometer at wal-mart. It works well. The temps hover right around 80 degrees with the tubs are closed up. When I have them open to check on the plants it usually drops to about 73 so, I don't think there's too much heat.
I've purchased all of the nutrients I'll be needing during the entire process. Those include: Alaska Fish Emulsion, Miracle Grow Bloom Burst, and Superthrive.
I haven't started using any nutrients yet though. I'm weary about them. Anyone have any advice?
I'm also curious about watering. I've been watering about every other day. They seem to be doing alright, but I've heard different things about over and under watering. I have a moisture meter that I've been using but I still don't know how to gauge when the best time to water is. Any advice?
So here are the (hopefully) girls.
The first is the Thia. It seems to be taking off much faster than the two Sour Deisel plants. They've been in soil now for about 4 days. What do you guys think? Is this looking pretty good for 4 days in soil?
