My First Grow!

Hey guys how’s it going? Well this is my first post and I don’t want to overwhelm you with questions but I have a quite a few! First I want to tell you my grow room plan and obstacles and maybe you can point out the stuff that I missed. This will be my very first grow so your experience will be appreciated.

My grow room will be 6’long x 3’6”deep x 7’tall it will be build in my bedroom for concealment of unexpected company. The room will be framed and sheetrock and one side will be opened for tarped entry.

Question (do I paint the walls flat white or use fylon? I have heard that fylon(sp) is 95% reflective and white is closer to 85%)

Smell:
Smell is an issue, I cant have it lingering so I will be installing a 50cfm fart fan exhausting into a charcoal filter box. Not to mention automatic glade sprayers.
Any advice in this category would help.


Size:
I want to grow 4 plants into full yield size; will my growing room be deep enough or should I expand it to 4’? I will be using White Widow for my first grow.

Setup:
I will be building a homemade aeroponics system and shooting to make it mostly automated. What is the best guess root length at full growth? I am trying to determine my water box depth.

Light:
This subject I haven’t fully studied yet but will start to dig deeper after this post. As of now I am planning on purchasing a 400w or 600w HPS system.

Intake:
I have read on one post that they use Cubic feet of their room and multiply three to get the desired CFMs for plant movement and fresh air. Does that sound right?

Areoponics shopping:
I don’t have a local store so I could use some good links. Net baskets and stuff.

Tons of info in the Newbie Central. You will want to do a little more research on the odor control. Also I would go atleast 4 feet. Remember you will have to hang your light. You can keep your plants short if you want though. Just put them into flower early. As far as the light goes get a "Cool Tube." I have one in 400 and have really no heat problems. Remember you will need to vent heat with HPS. I would go with 600hps now if I could do over again.
