For future reference, I think you could have let it flower for another 2 weeks easy.
before i cut it, i bought a microscope and looked at the trichromes. there were no clear trichromes, almost all of them were milky! I could have left it a week or so, to see when they'd start to turn to amber, but i was a little impatient... but since there weren't any clear trichromes, i guess it is a matter of preference as to when to cut it.

cheers...

absolutely do it,why not, your getting something for free.however you set the grow depends on what you want,ie do you want quality n quantity etc.
'Marijuana Horticulture the indoor/outdoor medical growers bible'
by jorge cervantes
Get this book,it has absolutely everything you need to know,it is literally a bible.Explains everything from start to finish.even tells you how to make hash.iv learnt everything i know from this book.

if your mate has a whole house free then you need to be aware of the neighbours, lamps and fans make noise, plus you need to think about the heat given off, helicopters have heat senses on em that can detect heat from a rat so the best thing is to set up preferably underground or in a small room or something.
one thing i wasnt prepared for was when to harvest, recently found out that a pocket microscope does the trick n you harvest when the really tiny trichomes are a milky amber colour(which by the way you CANNOT see with the naked eye or magnifying glass),that way you can make sure you get a high smoke rather than a downer.
im rambling now so il shut up,as i said, that book tells you everything you need to know, plus theres pictures to make it easier

K xx
i got a microscope too, about a week before i took the plant down! Most of the trichromes were milky, there were no clear trichromes, and just a few amber ones... so i guess i went for a more high weed than couchlock, which sounded nice to me at the moment...
now i'm thinking of growing a pure indica to yield some couchlock weed..:joint::joint:

i know the book, but haven't bought it yet. it does seem, like a pretty complete guide... including everything you need to know to grow successfully!!

cheers man....

Yeah, but the point to learning to grow is so you 'CAN' produce Sensei buds from strains that are difficult to grow, but wonderful to blaze or even just knowing that you grew the most sophisticated weed you can get. And didn't have to buy it. Just my 2 cents.

I got seeds from Nirvana and Attitude last month with no problems (sorry just remembered one of the strains I got from Nirvana 'Aurora Indica' didn't germinate a single seed, but all the attitude seeds came in branded packages unlike the nirvana in generic baggies and all the Att seeds popped ok) just so you know bro. They are reliable.

Excellent looking buds btw

thanx man! i still have no idea from where i'm gonna order the seeds.. i'll check out some seed banks, during the next week and then decide.

Nice plants. just harvested my cfl grow with similar results to yours. i'm hooked on cfls. too many people dont give them a shot. its like automatic i mean i vistited my plant once a week and never worried about electric, exhaust, heat issues. nada. CFL grows are set it and forget it! My trichs were completely milks, no clears, but no ambers either.. happy smoking! mine will be jarred in a few days/ smoke worthy in a few weeks, i'll puff one for you!

Looks incredible, bro. I am about 40 days into flowering mine...2 PPP and 1 Night Shade. I am trying to hold out as long as possible before chopping them but it gets to be pretty tough sometimes...especially because I am out of my regular stuff so no green available until these are done!! Congrats again and happy tokin!

^word^ I'm busy busting my hymen on my first indoor grow, which has led me to mad research about it, which has led to mad research on CFL's. It's a great investment, and you can get almost the same effect as using any HID setup with enough CFL's. The trick is in the numbers, and making sure the canopy is well lit, and still letting the sides get some softer light. Then you can even use some for flowering. Sounds like a natural athlete for growing. Just my $0.02.

Hey all,

I'm doing something similar for my first grow. I've got 130 total watts of CFLS over 5 bulbs. I also have a 250 HPS bulb. My question is when should I start the HPS? Should I wait till flowering or bring it in sometime in the veg state?

I've got 5 seeds each of Blueberry, Citral Hashplant, Superglue, and Taste Bud. Gonna start 2 of each as soon as they arrive in the mail!!! I can't wait.

I'm interested in trying some techniques on my first grow. I was thinking about topping them and maybe trying some clones (especially if I have to pull a lot of males). Anything else I should try???

What is bagseed? Seeds you just get out of a bag of smoke?
right. one note on bagseed. It will not always be like the weed it came out of. The weed is seeded because it was pollinated or a hermie. If it was pollenated from another plant, it will take on the characteristics of both plants and it could be a number of different pheno types since the breeding has not been stabilized. But you can get killer sensimilla sometimes from that mystery seed.

with enough cfls and their correct placement above and around the canopy, you can achieve some great results.

i'm germinating at the moment some seeds, and i'll start a journal for them, as soon as they sprout. I'm also making some modifications at my grow box. It's gonna be shorter, the lights will be placed a lot better, than just hanging (my prev grow), and the plants will be trained. That way more branches will get the same amount of light, and hopefully will lead to big heavy buds!!

cheers.......puff puff pass

theirs no way you harvest over a oz with just using cfls
oh!! i forgot to mention...... i DID harvest more than an oz!!!!! i harvested 35 grams dried :bigjoint::bigjoint:.... and i'm pretty sure, that even with cfls i can harvest more than that!!

i've germinated some seeds, and i'm gonna have two grow closets, one with cfls and one with hps. it'll be a parallel grow and in the end we'll tell the difference!!

cheers....
