My First Journal

update: 8/14/07. I plugged the timer into another lamp and waited to see if it would come on and it did. I dont know what the hell was going on with it this morning. Worked great for a week straight. I guess well see tomorrow if it works.

I decided not to do the lst after all. I dont want to do all of that and then have it turn out to be a male. Its a little crooked but a day of sun should straighten it out. Here is a couple of pics. I want to throw it into flowering to confirm its female then back to veg. Is this O.K. or is it bad?

why does the stem of it look crushed?

nevermind im just high as shit n thought that leaf in the bottom pic was the stem

though possible, its not really a good idea to put it into flower, then back to veg. instead, grow it out a bit, then cover one branch with an opaque paper or plastic bag to simulate 12/12, while leaving the rest of the plant in the regular vegging light cycle. after a week or so you should see signs of sex. this is documented somewhere on this site, possibly even the FAQ.

let it veg at least one more month lol. you cant just flower it now. lol

Thanks for the info. I just want to make sure its a female before i put a lot of time and energy into it.

I have an update on my flo's. I put up my 4 footer which has 2 Sylvania T12 40 watt super cool white bulbs. I went to sylvanias website and found out they are 2,150 lumens and 4,100k a piece.I also have 2 13 watt cfl's which is not much but its something. I just read somewhere in the faq that uv is good for flowering so im gonna put the super uv reptile tube back up as well. I will have some new pics of the babys soon.

My other seed wasnt popping up and one of the extra ones i was germinating was starting to grow a set of leaves so i t buried it up to the leaves. Today it is looking better and it grew about a quarter of an inch.Its buddy is looking good too and growing nicely.I need to find a better spot with more sun but I have limited places i can put them without people seeing them. Heres the pics.

Next gorw ill lst them to make them grow in a psirla like shown of faqs. it looks so cool and tgrippy

yeah i decided i would get some more experience before i do it. It does look cool though. I just dont want to do all that work to find out its a male. Maybe if i had a clone or something i knew was a female it would be great.

yeah.. what ill do is. ill lst half of my next grow. so ill do different methods. learn some new stuff. im so new at this. i see my plantsgetting better and better at every grow.

Yeah this is my best grow. I used to try to grow but they would thin out and plop over or i would get sick of waiting for bud and give up. This was before i knew what 12/12 was. I've come a long ways since then but i still have a lot to learn at the same time. I dont care how good the bud is as long as i get some. Ill worry about how good it is on my next grow.

i been growing my own stuff for 3-4 months so far and all ive learned i owe it to ROLLITUP! and google pages lol my second grow is looking sweet so far. good ass smell

Just built me a 3 sided grow box. im using the wall as my 4th side. I made it out of 2x4's and plywood. I didn't put a top on it because i ran out of wood and i have the whole room blacked out for 12/12.Althougbh i do want to put a top on it later so i can flower and veg in the same room. heres a few pics.




The pot in the pic is huge so it doesnt look that big but it is. I can fit 3 3-5 gallon pots easy. I built this so i wouldnt be wasting so much of the light seeing as how it was just in the wide open room before. I have a 18 inch uv reptile bulb, a double bulb 4 footer flouro(40 watt), and 2 13watt cfl's. As soon as i get a top for it im gonna bring my little babys in the house for 24/7 lighting.

make sure you have the lights as close as you can to the plants without causing any stress. you have those lights pretty far away it looks, this can slow growth and cause stretching.

Are you still doing the lst outside ?

Theres a set of canopy leaves under the light that you cant see in the pic. I keep them less than an inch away from the top. Sometimes they even grow into it but it doesnt burn them or nothing. They are about 2 weeks into flowering but i dont think they were getting enough light because its flowering slow.
