My Grow Ops

Just finished my grow operation design and construction. I'm fortunate to have plenty of space, so I went w/ two rooms; one for clones or raising mother plants, and the other for bloom.

Here's the Clone Room; a simple 5' X 5' closet equipped w/ 2 125W CFLs and a 44" T5 fixture. Currently housing one of the mother plants for isolation while treating mites. Ventilation is w/ a Thru Wall fan purchased from Home Depot:

Here's the exterior of the main grow room:

Electrical Center:

View of interior. Room is about 6.5' x 14' x 7.5' high:

Interior showing lighting system: 1000W digital ballast (MH/HPS combo) w/ Adjust A Wing reflector and Light Rail mover:

Interior of main grow room:

Plant food system; gravity fed plumbed w/ PVC through the wall:

Consists of 32 gallon trash barrel fitted w/ a hose bib:

Delivered w/ a wand w/ shutoff valve:

Exhaust is 6" Can Fan, three speed:

Intake is same:

6" Can Fan, three speed

Will clone mother plants in about two weeks, raise them in the Clone Room, then veg and bloom in the main room.

I'm in too brotha. Very nice setup you have. Can't wait to see you fill it in!! How do you like the max fans? I've been eyeballing them since they came out... I also agree with SF, you will eventually need another light for that 14' length, maybe trolley another on your mover down the line. Definitely love the separate rooms. Are you vegging in the main room due to space, or light? I use a light mover in my veg area, btw....and love it.
ATB!

Thanks !

Did the electric myself, and designed the timer to control the 240V ballast AND the exhaust fans and light mover. For me, electric was THE easiest part of the whole project.

Don't think I'll add another light; should be good to grow about 24 in three gallon containers.

Painted the room w/ flat white paint, per Jorge's Bible.

Love the Max Fans. I do a bit of industrial ventilation design engineering, and they were THE only fan I could find that was AMCA rated; the fan curve is right on the box in you're familiar with that sort of thing (means their fan WILL perform as advertised, basically):

http://www.amca.org/

Don't plan on using the entirety of the 14" length, just what I can fit under the 6' of light rail travel...maybe about 24 in three gallon containers.

Yes, I am vegging in the main space. Ballast is dual, dimmable 1000W.

well cool, im no electrical guy, i dont thinks its hard but my cousin ran my whole room from a 30A breaker, i have read a tutorial on building one of the heavy duty timer boxes but just havnt yet, i use a few pin style timers one for my 1000 and 1 hooked to a strip for my mover and 2x600's my 6" vortex exausts my lights and i have a 8k btu portable ac unit both running 24/7

how many cfm's is that max fan?

Thanks ! !

Also digging the watering wand and res. I have been trying to figure out how to incorporate the same in my indoor setup, without using a pump. How well does the gravity feed work? Does it have to be full? ATB!

Gravity fed system works great !

No, it doesn't have to be full. Just get the reservoir as high off the ground as possible. Mine works stacked on top of 8 cement blocks. It's a 32 gallon container that works just fine w/ only 10 gallons of solution in the tank.

VERY SIMPLE, LESS THEN $100
COMES OUT EASY
i dont have the handle sprayer anymore, i have a long watering wand now to reach into the back
heres how i have my watering setup done too... really similar to yours

How's the pump behave w/ the wand or spinkler head to on/activated? Too much pressure build up? I was considering this EXACT set up, yet thought the pump might be a bit too powerful and build too much pressure.

Glad it works ! !
