My kick ass 400w grow tent setup w/ waterfarm

Okay, here it is, I made a new light schedule by counting out the hours, not going to use any of the posted schedules. This one is perfect for most of the digital timers out there. I know mine has 8 on/off settings. Most of the digital timers you see for sale at hydro shops are like this one. You can buy one on ebay for 25 bucks. This one is dual outlet. Its worth it if you decide to go this route. It has a backup battery in it, so it wont get messed up if the power goes out.



Here is the light schedule, it's a 21 hour schedule 9/12

ON OFF
Day 1 12:00pm 9:00pm Thursday
Day 2 9:00am 6:00pm Friday
Day 3 6:00am 3:00pm Saturday
Day 4 3:00am 12:00pm Sunday
Day 5 12:00am 9:00am Monday
Day 6 9:00pm 6:00am Mon-Tue
Day 7 6:00pm 3:00am Tue-Wed
Day 8 3:00pm 12:00am Wed-Thur

8 days = 9 days
8 weeks (56 days) = 9 weeks and 1 day (64 days)

It's a girl!



But im pretty sure the other two big ones are males, Still to soon to say for 100% sure. Hopefully I'll have an answer soon. But hey Im going to get some buds! I have a girl! Her clones are still unchanged (about a week old), they are hanging in there. No roots yet, but I think its going to happen soon.

Well its been about a week since I Fim'd the plants. The tops of the plants have sprouted into dozens of new tops! There are new tops coming out everywhere. I went ahead and Fim'd the other 3 plants after seeing what it does. Im very impressed. I highly reccomend it, but dont mess with them if you are budding.

Im about to add Tiger Bloom and other goodies. Im following the Fox Farm feeding calender to the T.

Just be careful with that. I started them on half strength FF nutes and Esmerelda got burned.

Well I have a new batch of seedlings in the other HTG tent. 3 Critical Mass, 1 White Widow, 1 Sweet Tooth (feminized), and 1 Laughing Buddha (feminized). I'm using the 3" rockwool cubes this time. Last time I didnt use them and I can already tell there going to work great. I'm also going to put a second reservoir in the closet. I have one tent thats about to flower, Ill put that on one reservoir, and the other HTG tent with the new seedlings on another reservoir.



The clones are going on a week old and they finally sprouted roots! I can see them when I look down around the stem. They arent sticking out of the rockwool yet but I think it just needs a few more days. The daisy cloner rocks! That was my first attempt at making clones and all they have pulled through so far. 100% success rate.

What do you think of the waterfarm system? It's still a ways off, but I do want to eventually switch to hydro.

They are great! They are only $35 for a stand alone, or $50 for one with an air pump and the hydroton. With the reservoir I dont need to water but once a week. I mix up 15 gallons every week throw it in the reservoir and sit back and watch the lights turn on and off. How much simpler does it get?

As a matter of fact, you could probably put three of them under a 400w HPS and get fantastic results.

Yea, Im on day 2 of flowering with the new schedule. Its working out perfectly this time. I want to test out how well it works. What Im doing now is running the two HTG tents on seperate schedules. Soon Ill start over with clones in both tents. So both tents will be identical in everyway, except that one will be on a 12/12 and the other on a 9/12. I should be able to do this in a few weeks.

Thats the last 25 days, they are 29 days old.

hey man i just looked through the journal and i dont know what your intetions were if you want big ass buds then i suggest lollipoping those girls becaseu your under growth isnt getting much light or lst but looks like your babies are to big now you could always supper chrop but you may not have enough room or put up cfl side lights but i think lollipop is the best for you.

HHmm, dont know what that is? Lollipoping, Ill go read up on it. The light they recieve is extremely intense, ever since I switched to the HPS bulb the pictures look dimmer, but its an illusion. Im measuring 5000 foot candles at the tops of the plants with a light meter. The lower branches are deffinately not getting the same kind of light though. Ill go check Lollipopping out, thanks for the suggestion!

Oh wait, is that were you just remove all the lower growth making the plant look like a lollipop? Ive seen that before. No Im going to leave it alone, other than tying down or bending branches Im not going to prune the plant back. I have been reading and reading and Im going to go with the growers bible on pruning advice. They say dont remove a leaf unless its more than 50% damaged. And if you have to you should try and bend the plant into a better shape. Ill start bending the top over it if it gets too tall. But overall its going to be like a 400lb gorrila in my grow tent from here on out. I do take off any bottom leaves that look bad.

Looking good. Yeah i read that too somewere where taking leafs off will just stunt the plant or something. On my fist grow, back when i was grow lame, i was trying what i thought was the sog method. Ever since it had like 10 modes i was hacking all the side brances below the first 6 inches of the top.
They ended up growing 2.5 feet tall, with one bud at the tip with about a quarter totall. Needles to say, it was stunted to shit.
Anyways good thinking, lst is the way to go i think. Hey now all you need is one thing you have to do to ensure satisfaction...

I have a confirmed male and it's one of the big ones too. I guess I shouldnt waste anytime in cutting it down. What a waste! But next time Ill have my female clones. Still sucks cutting down such a nice looking plant.

Males are usually the strongest growers. You've got a 50/50 chance of getting males, so he probally wont be the last one....wait...I thought these were clones?
