my favorite post this thread was the side to side 3-5 gallon grow. i agree with the idea that less is more in this comparison. i gotta get outta the 1 - 1.5 gallon containers and get some bags...

and of course.. looking good!!

Here's my updated pics. Things are going well... buds continue to grow and get fatter. My plants seems to be doing well after their first dose of Purple Maxx, so I will be continuing with that as planned. The buds are getting real frosty with trichomes covering the buds and small leaves. I must say that the Sweet Tooth smells great. Very fruity, with an almost melon aroma. The El Nino and Big Bang are doing good as well, but the smell of them is a bit more citrus with a touch of pine.

Yep, I'm going to hit them with Gravity during the 6th week of flowering. Hopefully, the combination of PurpleMaxx and Gravity will make my buds extra frosty and dense :-D
what is the N P K on gravity .. is it similar to the overdrive that advanced nutrients do??

btw buds looking great !! and my sweet tooth germination went ok and are close to being ready to pot as they show roots through the root riot mini block they got put in :)

Gravity is not a nutrient, and therefore does not contain Nitrogen, Phosphorous, or Potassium. It is a flower hardener that contains sea kelp and a B Vitamin complex. Typically, it is used two or three times during the third week before harvest.

I think Sweet Leaf is a carbo supplement with effects similar to adding molasses. There are no other products like Gravity or Purple Maxx. Purple Maxx increases resin production and will cause increased color in strains that turn purple, and Gravity increases the density and mass of buds. As I said earlier, Gravity is made from sea kelp and a B vitamin combination, while Purple Maxx is made up of organic and amino acids.

tbh im a taste man but i think ill look into the gravity for this sweet tooth im doing next..

i genrally do this for a feed cycle so when would it fit in to it ?

canna a and b

+ (advanced nuts)

week 1 - 2 bud blood
week 2 - 4 big bud
week 4 - 5 - hammerhead + sweet leaf

Hey rolla, Looking good!!!! like always, Hey i wanted to ask you a couple more questions.
1. Is it ok to switch to T5 florecents from cfls? I know there both flors but there alot more lumens then im currently using, and dont know if i can switch while in flower for the sake of stress. I really want a 600w HPS but low on $$$$$ and for all the exhaust/intake fans ect.....
2. Do u ever increase the TigerBloom and BigBloom in flower, Cause u told me 1tlb of BB and 1tea of Tb and 1/4 of the sob's. My plants arnt showing any signs of probs so i wanted to increase both, 2tbl of BB and 2tea for the TB but am scared to increase the sob's dose over 1/4 this early, Im in Week 1.5 of flower
3. Whats the optimum humidity for flower?
4. and DO U ALWAYS AT EVERY WATER MAKE SURE 10% DRAINS FROM THE BOTTOM?

Thanks man, Check out my current pics, Let me know if the yield is lookin good

I appreciate your Test. This is just food for thought. I know you had a fairly controlled environment. However I am wondering if you would get the same results given more plant samples. Also you used the same scheduling for feeding. Would it be a better comparison to give the 5 gallon pot more water and less feeding? Using it's full potential. I guess to make it a fair test you would need to feed it the same proportions of water/nutes over size of pot. You were giving less water per size pot on the 5 gallon than you were the 3. I'm just curious what the results would be given a larger sample and a equal proportion size feeding schedule.

Incredible work though thus far. No complaints at all here. Looks bad ass. Hope my stuff turns out half that good.

1) get on hps - tip is u need a larger outtake than intake to make the room optimal imo

2)every strain is different... some strains work best under a moderate feed ...some heavy , some moderate heavy .. if your plants show a little nut burn on the tips then back of and return to the noirmal but i would encourage an increase of at least 50% from th norm if you thik they cn take it.

3) - this is a great question. imo its hsould be a sliding scale downwards from 50% once in flower. the last 2 weeks of flower (when flushing) i like to get my humid down to atleast 30% as it encourages the plant to increase trichome develoment and spread to protectthe flower from the lowering humidity. works a treat for sure.

4) i use auto pots so this i cannnot answer :)

ps sweet tooth seeds of mine just gone into auto pots now following germination. ill get some pics up soon and stay in this thread rather than make a new one if thats ok ?
