My leafs are burning. in flowering period.would reducing light speed up flowering?

Hello guys...this is my first grow..and the first buds have started to grow..unfortunately I started growing my plants indoors and since the electricity bills were quite high I had to cut my lighting and put the plants next to my window so they could grow with sunlight. I transferred the plants when flowering started...

now the plants are flowering but the leafs are burning under the sunlight.... (this is what I think the problem is).... so I clearly have to reduce light intensity... is it a good idea to put my plants in a really shadowy area??under a desk??or in a cave or something similar I read somewhere that flowering your plants using a low concentration of light is better...please help---what should I do?

Do you have it in a window with a screen?

Maybe think about just lowering the intensity of the light...haha possibly very light window tint. Like 65% of something

Electric should have been much figure 2 48 inch florescent shop light on 24 hours for veg would be what 5 bucks a month and then a 400 hps on 12/12 is about 10-20 a month???You need 12 hours of solid dark and 12 of bright light so figure out your best option to get those times

i am under the impression that the only light source you have is the sun from your window, if this is so there is almost no way that this could cause burning of the leaves. it could be nutrient burn, or something else, but i do not think that the sun is buring it.

I just used my window screen...and apparently the plant isnt getting worse...I even stopped using my UV lamp...which I used for the THC of my flowers...I'll let you know if the babies get worse

uv is expensive and doesn't do anything if you had a high bill and those were on those are definently the problem i have like 1000w worth of light and live with my grandma and she didn't even notice a jump in the bill.

dude just go to a local super market and look for lights with low wattige and high lumens lumens are the light out put so high lumens equals high output equals flowering buy the lights and put em on ur babys for 12/12

The sun didnt burn those leaves... Unless the window is old and in that cause it could possibly focus the sunlight through the uneven glass. BUT i'm guessing its what your feeding them! NUTE BURN! Flush your soil, and put them under some energy saving CFL bulbs. they are cheap and they dont use much energy. turn you house lights off when u can, turn off the TV and read a book. there no way to flower any plant in a window seal and expect them to have any smoke worth a shit. It could be a nutrient dificiency also. Didnt read everything so dont know if ur feeding or not. Def not sun burn thow.

Def. not sun burn.. most likely a nute or pH problem... and plz put that baby under some lights-- if money and cost of electricity is a problem go with the cfls but remember, a small space heater uses 1200 watts, so does the hair dryer. The "electricity jump=everyone knowing you're growing" from growing a few plants is a paranoid delusion by marijuana growers.. lol..

I was with the sunburn as I had it happen, problem was small enclosed space and no ventilation dried out some leaves and almost killed a plant, it recoverd fine.

Hell I've chopped a plant in half accidentally and its grown back fine.

deffinately rub in some sunscreen on those girls...i us spf 30 but you might need 40

Hey man Congrats on Ur New Project i just finish smoking Mine, Im at school and have one last bowl waiting for me at home with my wifey. Eitherway make sure u let everybody know things like where ur plants are, what equipment u have, Did u get cheap equipment or the better more pricey stuff.

yeah not to sure if thats all burnt looks maybe like a nutrient problem. maybe a good flush could soften those leaves a bit to get you through the rest of flowering. My frist grow this happened and seemed to lower the quality of the flowers. a good flush now helps me keep that from going on. hope you find this helpful!

Actually setting by a window can cause light burn, like you would get from mirrors with HIDs and some mylar, if its wrinkled or turned wrong. You would be some effect of magnification or diffution by the sunlight coming thru glass. I'm guessing though, and I know this post is old. so...
