My Legal Grow Room Design (stinkbud style)

i'm in the early stages of getting my med card so i figured i would get started on designing my grow room. i decided to model my system after stinkbud's aero/nft setup. mine is pretty much an exact copy of his but it has a few minor differences. the room is going to be in my basement. i drew it all up on autocad and i think i got it all done so i figured i'd post it up here to see what everyone thinks. i made all my systems able to hold 8 plants, we are only allowed 12 here and i'm not too sure what my grow schedule is going to be and i figured 8 was a good number to play around with. ideally i would like to harvest around 2 ounces every two weeks....we can only have 2.5oz at a time here and i smoke almost an oz a week when my crohn's flares up. i guess my next step would be lighting. any suggestions? good or bad, let me know what ya think. :leaf:

I'd reduce the number of sprayers in your flowering unit that you are using. By trying to increase your coverage, you will severely decrease the pressure and will have to use a much bigger pump which will in turn heat up the water more.
Also, why are you limiting your cloner to only 8 plants. I am able to adequately cover the inside of my rubbermaid with only 8 sprayers and can clone over 30 plants. You are way overbuilding, you don't need that center extender and you have way too many sprayers in your cloner and vegging box too. Use the KISS method.

Use the KISS method.
i can only have 12 plants total so i dont need anymore than 8, probably will only 2-4 but like i said in my first post...i figured 8 was a good number to play with.

im not familiar with the KISS method, ill look into it. thanks :joint:

KISS just means Keep It Simple Stupid.

Even with a legal grow, it's helpful to have extra spots. I never fill mine all of the way but since there's room, you should overbuild. What if you decide to become a caregiver for someone else?
Do they even count unrooted clones in the total amount allotted? That sucks.

Definitely try to keep the number of sprayers down. I learned that the hard way. You will be surprised how much area they cover, plus they do better with a fine mist of water than being deluged from all sides. I even dropped mine down a bit so they weren't so close to the lid. It helps control leaking better too.

Awesome plans, make it right!!

It's also true you don't need that much sprayer.

Good luck.

thanks for the replies. ok, so i did some research for laws in my area...the state's website doesnt say shit about unrooted clones so i just assumed they counted but i called our lawyer and he said unrooted clones DO NOT count. so im going to be adding some spots in the cloner and reduce the number of sprayers. and since i can scratch the unrooted clones off the list as total plants im going be expanding my veger and flower room to be able to hold 12 plants each. back to the drawing board, ill post the plans when im done.

as for being a caregiver, i do want to become one eventually but that wont be anytime soon. my plan for that is, if i become a caregiver im going to build a much bigger flowering room that can hold more plants and then im going to make one of the 2 original rooms into a breeding room. if i need to make my cloner and veger hold more plants thats no problem, just drill more holes. the only problem with becoming a caregiver is i have to grow indoors since we get buried in snow in the winter and i live in an old ass house and i blow circuit breakers left and right as it is so i cant imagine how it would be if i were running a couple thousand watts down there. had an electrician come in and check everything out and the estimate was WAY more than i could afford. if only solar panels werent so expensive....

+rep for your help :)

What county do you live in? That 12 plant total thing is a State #, but the county you live in may have a higher limit.

Such as El Dorado County (used to live there) has a 21 plant limit. 10 veg 10 flower and 1 mother.

San Diego has a 24 plant limit, and they do not specify in what stages.

Go here: http://www.canorml.org/prop/local215policies.html

And if your County allows a higher limit than the state's # it will be on the list and tell you what your actual limits are

Yes, I am fully aware of that. However, they didn't really DO anything for us patients...other than fixing a BS law that we never voted on.

I feel about it much the way this man does:

A big fat bowl of nothing <--- click me, I'll take you places.

:confused:What a joke of a statement. :roll::roll::roll::roll:

Don't downplay the significance of this bro and act like no progress has been made.

This is fucking awesome news...buddy.

You're lucky you even live in a compassionate state. Some people are fucked in that regard.

Maybe that came across wrong. What I am trying to say is the mere fact they even had to over turn the law is BS. It never belonged there in the first place, so in a sense yes progress has been made now that is gone. I just see it as being back to the way it was before that measure was enacted. In all due respect, either way it IS a step in the right direction no matter how ya slice it.

And believe me, I am VERY thankful I live where I do. I have family that lives in non-compassionate states and they risk their ass to grow their meds.
