My New Room

Thought I'd snap a pic of the new room before I put anything in it.



The room is about 10' x 12' and 6' high. Since I will be LSTing big time, height should not be a problem. I will be adding either another 1k light or recycle two 600s. I also have space for an identical room right next to this one, and I will be basically alternating veg/bud cycles in both rooms. I should be able to harvest 12-18 plants every 8 weeks or so (I'm legal for 18 "harvestable" female plants).

I have been growing for only about 18 months, and a member of RIU for about 7. I have and continue to learn from RIU, so thanks! You wouod laugh your ass off if you saw my first room LOL. I way overbuilt this room in the basement. In-wall vents, in-wall heater, rigid foil on the inside, plywood on the outside...and this was a small room lol. Live and learn.

About 3 months from now I should have the two new rooms in full production. I'll dig this thread up and post pics then.

Sorry it took a while to get some new pics. I have now built my second room next to the first. About the same size, used firm white wallboard instead of panda film. Slightly changed the configuration of the frames and can fit 18 plants in each room.

I didn't get any pics of the first room during veg, but here's a couple shots 4 weeks into bud:



Here are a couple pics of the second room with 18 plants in veg. I put clones in here that were 10-18" tall. When I transplant to the 3 gal pots I dig a hole for the roots (which I break up), but really plant it pretty much sideways. My goal is to grow them out and tie them down till I fill the frame..then up they go lol. Doing a better job on the second try.

Here are some pics of room 2 three weeks later. Filled in nicely. I'll switch soon, when I harvest room1.

No idea on yield, first crop in the new room. When I started about 18 mo ago I was getting 2 oz/plant, a few crops later and I managed to get it up to 3.5-4, but that was not LST. This is my first time doing LST in a major way. There are 18 plants there in room 2 though. At least a couple pounds I hope

Is there just one 1000 watt bulb in each room? Very nice setup. Good job.

I am currently changing up the lights, should be done today. Originally room 1 had a 1k and 2 600 and when I added room 2 I put 2 1k in it. After today each room will have 1k on either end and 2 600 on the sides, for a total of 3200w in each room.

Just chopped room 1, gonna clean it out today and I have my 18 clones ready to go in, avg 18" tall.

Nice Set up tet! I like your style. Only 2 years growing? Your a catch on quick sort of guy. How's the scrog working for you?
