it took about five days for them to sprout, I had just sprinkled them on the top of the soil and domed them to keep the humidity in. Once they sprout though you gotta watch them when there still sprouts they have a tendency to fall over, so I just pushed the earth around them to support the main stem until there was sufficient root mass. Then when they got a bit bigger I used half a toothpick, after that they had grounded enough to what you see in the first pic....

My temps are rather warm for them, around 81 degrees in the fridge and then around 80 degrees in the tent, I left them in the fridge until they were about an inch high 2" wide and then stuck em under my 600w hps, the papaver veg under 12/12 and flower under 16/8 from what I understand so they are on the opposite cycle as our good friend Mary J. Patience is the key with these guys it took me three tries. In my first attempts they were in the fridge under 24/0 they sprouted great but died after reaching about an inch....too much light was my guess, cause as soon as I put these in the tent under 12/12 they flourished!

But i heard that you may need two seasons before it will flower and be able to harvest from it...I'm still trying to verify this as I'm finding it really hard to find information on this, ill drop a post when I find out!

BTW I planted them Dec 6th, they are around 12" in diameter and 8" high now, this is them, as you can see their under a HPS

This is who their with at the moment, when she's finished I plan on switching the light cycle, although I'm not 100% sure on when is the appropriate time to do this....so i'm just going with the flow, this plant has round 30 days left so that'll be just over 90 days of veg for the papaver.......hope this helped ya, Best of luck man, feel free to ask any other questions, !

They need light to germinate, don't bury the seeds or try to germ in darkness.

Word to the wise, NEEM and Papaver don't mix, I had the fids and used neem and dish soap on em, I noticed that some of the papavers leaves were a bit discolored, to be on the safe side I soaked it, since it's in the same area as the girls. We I guess this plant is porous and the neem clogged the pores, she was hurtin by morning time. I washed her off and she is slowly coming back. I still dont see a shoot coming up, wondering if it takes two seasons to flower? Here's what she looks like after my learning experience!

I suppose you could, I didn't sprinkle too many, maybe 20 per pot and then cut them back down to one ( the strongest). From what i understand they are on the opposite cycle as mj, so 12/12 to veg and 16/8 to flower. Have FUN!

To be honest this is my first time, not growing to sell, just to try, i figure two should do me fine to test it out, I dunno but I would say quite a few to get a decent size chunk, especially after refining it!
badass dude, i wonder how many you would have to grow to get a decent yeild.

looks like you used the wrong kind of dish soap with the neem or to much, neem should never do that unless applyed under direct light
