My plants don't seem to be budding

This is my first time growing and I've tried to read as much as possible. I planted the seeds almost 3 months ago. For the most part, they seem healthy. My problem is I expected them to start to bud by now and they haven't. They don't appear to be male plants, unless I am missing something. I am posting a few pics to show what they look like. I have them in a small area with plenty of light and have been sticking to the light schedules and making sure there is plenty of water. They are about 2.5 to 3 feet high. There are two plants total. Maybe these are slow growers or maybe they are male and I just can't see it. Any ideas?
At what point do I call these a loss and move on or has that point been crossed?

Are you on a 12/12 light schedule?

MJ needs 12hrs of absolute uninterrupted dark to flower.

what is your lighting schedule has to be 12 light 12 dark for week or two to start buding also are you using flowering nutrients?

I haven't been as strict on the 12/12 as I should be.
Is it too late now in this stage or is there a possibility that I could still get buds?

You really want light cycle period lengths to be consistent and not go back and forth between a vegetative stage light cycle and a flowering stage light cycle. Going back and forth between the two is a pretty darn good way to turn your plants into hermis.

This is your problem. It will not flower unless it has at least 12 hours of COMPLETE DARKNESS everyday.

dont forget the complete darkness if they havent said it enough
any light could confuse your plant so try not to peek in on it lol
just remember it might be a while before you see any buds so dont get discouraged

Yeh pretty much what everyone else said.

Also what light are you using? If you are growing indoors with CFL lights, we use the less intense light for vegetating stage and then switch to soft white for flowering.
