My Rubbermaid stealth grow 1 week from sprout!

I have 4 plants 5 days from sprout and I hope they are going good. I have 2 others that I just put in soil yesterday, looks like they are about to break ground also!

I have 6x cfl 26w 1600 lumens 6500k each and 2x t12? daylight deluxe 6500k 20w 1065 lumens I think each. Going to be killing off a couple of the plants when I decide to transplant... from what I see on other post my plants are growing a little slow.
1st pic is my set up
2nd is Abby
3rd is Becca
4th is Chasity
5th is Donna
6th is Flora one of the seeds I planted yesterday the other I dont see anything peeping through yet
6th is another of the setup

I am going to the store tomorrow to get bigger pots. What size should I transplant into? I have them planted in solo cups right now. Also wanting to pick up ferts, nutes, whatever yall call them... and a timer. Right now I just switched today to a 18/6 light and was on a 24 hr cause I was constructing the box and everything was constantly moving now everything is pretty set and the only time I need to take the lights off is to add scrog and all that when I transpant which wont be for about a week or so I pressume. I watered again today since I planted. I sprayed watered and wanted to make sure I watered enough. I watered about 50ml every cup. I will add more soil around the stems tomorrow after they grow tonight. I hope those leaves get bigger soon. I would like whatever suggestions anyone has besides changing to HID or HPS or MH. I like cfl for energy cost, heat, etc... plus they are cheap, easy to find and easy to work with... how long should I wait to transplant? what size pot? what ferts, nutes whatever should I get when I transplant? I am getting everything from a lowes, home depot, I am more comfortable and have gift cards to spend from there....

more soil in the solo cups would help, as roots like to grow down, so adding soil as you go is not opitmal. you should fill up the cup with soil and let it fill it with roots then trans plant it when the roots achive root lock.

I will do that tomorrow for sure. I am afraid they have stopped growing cause they have no more room. I dropped chasity!! I hope she will live she was the best looking one!! ugh!! She came all the way out of the cup and all the soil went everywhere... so upset!

also UPDATE:
My little sprouts Ellen and Flora are coming through. Flora is way bigger and already showing signs of 2nd leaves... hmm Ellen however is just now poking her head out of the soil!! I do believe one of the others is starting to die so I think I will just it a favor and kill it off already when I add more soil to the other cups. I only want to keep one out of the first batch and 1 out of these 2 sprouts. Right now I just started the 18/6 lighting as of today officially!! So hope some of the new growth that is starting to show with make an apperance soon!! I have done some adding and found I have 11690 Lumens, 196 watts 6500k of cfls growing 6 plants soon to be 5. So I know I need to kill some more plants to make sure they are getting enough light a piece... just dont know what to do they all look pretty good. when I go to transplant I will kill another I promise. Also, any advice on when I do start to flower these plants what type of training to use. I have read up on everything besides that... so that I am really really lost. These are bagseed plants and my sprouts are some skunk strain... I hope to see some new growth soon. Today is their 1 week birthday!!!

I would try to save as many as you can as it's bag seed and you won't know the sex until they flower. as far as training goes it super easy just watch a few you tube videos.

Very true!! I was actually looking on craigslist today and found a couple people with hps and mh lights for really cheap and one guy offered me 4 1000w metal halide fixtures with built in ballast for 100. I am thinking about grabbing those just cause... one guys has a 200w and 400w fixtures for mh and hps bulbs for $150 aircooled everything included... thinking about spending my money on that and building a box or "grow tent" out of a portable closet.... what do you guys think??

Definatly put more soil at the bottom. Don't worry about space for adding soil to the top until you move them to pots, then you only need about an inch. I gave mine about a month of veg before I switched to flower and wish I would have waited another week or two. But you may have some cross-dressers with that bag seed. Some of those girls may be males, ask Eddie Murphy.

If you can find a cab those hps/mh will be worth it. I wouldn't suggest using them in the rubbermaids though. Don't worry about the dropped one. I did the same and right now she's the better performer. Be patient and enjoy the grow!

I have added more soil and watered them yesterday and today this is what I have going on...

CAM00658.jpg this is what Donna looks like and all the rest of them are about that size except their little leaves are still greens. I feel like I have some extremely slow growers or mid seeds... ugh I hope not...

CAM00659.jpg This is Anna. She is the biggest and looks like I kinda messed up her transplant I have some white roots showing on top for some reason. Going to top off the soil in a few... I hope they grow to be females. My skunk seed is growing really nicely! the other is being a little slow to really poke up towards the light. What should I do to encourage faster growth. I was doing the 24/0 lighting but switched for power bill concerns. now I have at a 18/6 lighting and watering about every 72 hours. I really need to put in the intake on the bottom, just nervous about cutting into the bottom rubbermaid cause I might change up my plans for this grow again... since I have the option of getting those lights. I am still on the fence about it, because if I got HPS/MH lighting there would be greater concern for cooling. I live in Florida so heating will never ever be an issue even in winter. If I did do the other lighting and built a grow box how could I build this in my garage and still run some sort of cooling to it. My garage still gets pretty hot...

Another question... I havent been using a top to keep the light in, just been keeping it open and letting the fans suck in and out air through the openings are the lights... should I go ahead and make this a complete double stack and only open in to water and check on them when the lights are on??? I have found getting this other rubbermaid on and off is a pain in my ass and I really hate fucking with it... I know when my plants are bigger it will be sufficient but right now. GOD DAMNIT!!!

For the rubbermaid stick with the cfls and double stack that baby, what is the problem taking it of? If its the little hook patch things at the handle that lock it up.... Trim em.

Yea donna i think is just dying or shedding those leaves early. I really hope these arent mid seeds. I will be so pissed off. Going to wait a couple days and post more pics. Hopefully today i will get around to cutting everything down to fit and not be such a pain... also need to cut in my intake and exhaust, since right now the fans are sucking in from above the lights. No bud for me today, makes for an ill girl...

Just do the wardrobe box. More room, still stealth, and better outcome all around. MH/HPS would be damn near impossible for temps in the rubber maids.

Yea until I get some money flow or find a really cheap wardrobe closet I will definitely build some sweet shit!! I am going to stick with the CFL thing too just for now, maybe when I land this sweet job this week I will upgrade. My boy grew with cfls all the time had a cycle, and was self sufficient off his CFL grows. Maybe 1-3 a plant... so I am hope full very hope full. My newest sprouts are looking pretty good. So going to see what happens this week. I might be transplanting A and B pretty soon they are getting bigger and bigger by the day. I hope to see these take off tomorrow when I add more soil to them... oh yea!!!! Happy!:weed:

Was thinking the same thing...

Also, If you want to make things easy... take that bottom tub, drill holes in the bottom, put the lid that came with it under, to catch water... tape in cardboard spacers, then just dump soil into that, you will not be able to transplant without hacking roots, but who gives a fuck? Put those fuckers in that (huge root growth downwards, and limited to the sides = good) plus no added costs for pots n shit. ;) ghetto and low profile lol
