Greetings to all thats following my journal.

My new mother/cloning/1st stage veg room arrived today along with a replacement, more powerfull RUCK fan for my budbox flower room plus a new grasslin mechanical timer and a new 2kw contactor/relay to switch the veg room lights safely without the worry of frying the new timer or causing a fire.

The 250w hps fitted in cooltube and mounted to the top support bar of the darkroom, c/filter fitted in place (the darkroom came with two handy straps for supporting the c/filter) and all ducting fitted, and light fired up to make sure it still works fine as i havnt used it for a while.

I removed the RVK 5" (240m3 p/h) extractor from the flower room and fitted it onto the output duct from the darkrooms cooltube/extraction/filtration setup in above pictures, to pull air out and draw LOADS of fresh air in via the DR's passive intakes, this fan is a bit over-rated for the size of the tent but it'l do, it sucks the sides of the tent in quite a bit

I knocked up a quick table out of some scraps of MDF i had on my balcony to seperate the two sections of the room, covered the top with some thick white blackout sheeting that i had spare.

Then hung the two 125w eco-lites on the undersides of the table to form the mother/cloning room.

Then of course i put my two NL5 Haze mist mums in along with the BB Cheese mum in their new home.

Ok, so with the addition of an oscillating fan for air movement and a digital thermometer/hygrometer my new room is complete.

The 240m3 p/h 5" RVK fan that was being used in my budbox flower room is now being used to extract the new room so its been replaced with the new 365m3 p/h 5" RUCK fan, my flower room temps as a result have dropped by 2 degrees C, Bonus!

To mount the RUCK fan into the budbox, i screwed two eyehooks into two of the threaded mounts on the RUCK fan, attached two lengths of jack chain and wrapped the chain around the top support bar of the budbox, and attached the fan at the sucking end to the c/filter using a fast clamp, and the other blowing side of the fan attached to the duct which supplies the air cooled shade with cool air.

Ok, by the time my current NL5 Haze mist flowering plants are 3wks or so from being finished in the budbox, the mothers should be a decent enough size to take plenty of clones from.

Il be taking 25 clones from the three mums and the clones will be rooted in a propagator in the same room and under the same lights as the mothers.

As usual il be using Growth technology organic root riot cubes for rooting the clones along with Growth technology Clonex gel as my rooting hormone.

nice litle op you got going, i see your using a budbox, are they worth the money? thinking of getting one soon as if they're decent.

After a week to two weeks once the clones have rooted the cubes in the propagator in the lower section, theyl be potted into 1.4l extra deep pots of B&Q specialist seed and cutting compost and placed into the upper section of the darkroom under the air-cooled 250w hps for approx two weeks until they have rooted the pots and are approx 6-8" tall, of course on an 18/6 light regimine.

After approx 2weeks of the clones being in the 1.4l pots i should start seeing some roots at the pots drainage holes and the pots should be well rooted.

They will then be potted up into 6l square pots of westlands west+ multi-purpose compost with John innes, i add 30% perlite the compost for a bit of extra airation and to make the compost go a bit further (coz im a tight git )

And they will then be put into the budbox xl (1.2x1.2x2m) under an air-cooled 600w dual spectrum sylvania grolux HPS for a further two weeks or so still on 18/6 until i see roots again at the pots drainage holes.

Then flowering will begin on 12/12 (obviously )

Again when they are 3-4wks from finishing il start cutting the next lot of clones for the next crop, and so the cycle will continue. Enjoy reading (please ;-))

Il be doing various strains along the way and hopefully find something i dont mind smoking long term and keep the mother/s for a while.

Thanx UkWeed bro, the budboxes i think are crap mate to be honest with you, when i got my one it was a nighmare getting it together, mostly because the covers are made too small for the frame, i had to really stretch it over, and the tension made all the corner connectors break like they were made out of cardboard, they were that weak, i made my own replacement connectors out of blocks of wood, but still the cover is so tight that the stitching is all stretched, opening up pinhole light leaks, and the zips were rediculously stiff and nearly all the zip toggles pulled off in my hand trying to zip it up for the very first time!! So i put cable ties through the little hole where the toggles were attached

Thats why i got a secret jardin darkroom for my new room because theyre 10x better than budboxes, i went for the street DR range (DRS80) theyre alot cheaper and IMO fine for a veg room.

subscribed for the ongoing saga. Good luck dude
Nice 1 Mr West, this is gonna be my permenent journal now with allsorts of strains in the coming years.

Stay tuned ma man. ;-)

Yep theyre that bad mate, the fake ones sold on ebay ive heard are worse!

And i got a genuine one from growell too!

Apparently the xxl and the xs sizes are fine but hardly anybody uses em! :dunce:

Yea sure, got mine from Greens horticulture, second time ordering from them and both times a great service and arrived within 48hrs of ordering!

Grow Tents (darkroom normal range)

Grow Tents*>*Dark Room Grow Tents*>*Dark Room Street Grow Tents (cheaper darkroom street range)

They do other good stuff too, like the new variable speed RUCK fans with built in thermostat/temp controller! They look excellent!!

They also do budboxes and homeboxes too, but the homebox is just as kack as the budbox!

nice one cheers mate, just saved me a wad of cash buying a piece of shit from flea-bay :D
Cool mate, E-gay is ok for certain stuff, iv never bought from there, but just going by what ive heard about the stuff sold on there, id never buy a tent or a ballast, well, any HID equipment to that point on it.

You cant beat the peace of mind of real BS kitemarks and CE certified electrical equipment backed up by a no worries warantee from a big name growshop, especially when your grow is in your home. ;-)
