Sorry man, that bud shot is from a week and a half ago (or it could be from one of the other two plants next to her, got the bud shots mixed up, lol) - it was the best I had as far as a closeup, that's why I posted it. Here's one taken four days ago. The pistils have started turning orange. I wish I could take a shot of the trichomes, love to show you guys, my plant aint pretty but I'm sooo proud.:-P

That is a beautiful pic! Nope I don't have one - I got the handheld microscope from RadioShack. I tried already to take a pic through the eyepiece, doesn't work.
Nope the buds are my first (and second) grow, just bagseed. The Trainwreck babies are just 31 days old - here's one of 'em taken on Sunday (27 days)- they've grown a lot this week but no sneak peeks until my next update this Sunday.;-)

Ok gimme the scoop! How do I do that? Flash or no flash? Major zoom in or not? Right up on the eyepiece?

Alrighty, I'm gonna give 'er another whirl, see if I can get a shot. Thanks for the tip!:-P
Well - here was my best two shots out of a couple dozen. lol Not so easy as one might suppose. Sorry guys, I tried. I'm having a hard time holding my hands still too - maybe I'll try again tomorrow (today?) when I'm not so tired.

I can def see some cloudy trichs in there dude
Yes...Was hoping I wasn't just wishful seeing there! There are a few amber as well, but still very few. The three leaves I looked at, were all tiny - like around a quarter inch, maybe - and on each leaf there was one amber trich, one of them had two. That I saw anyway.:bigjoint:

Cant wait my jewelers loop should be here in a couple of days. I bought a digital microscope from Fry's and it was very hard to take pics. It was the kind that you pluged into your computer. It was $69 +tax. You could def see the trich's though. Good for looking but not pictures. I was very dissappointed and returned it. :-(

the best thing bout seeing cloudy trichs is that soon, you'll be getting high on your own supply.

i wouldn't sweat the exact state of the trichs bro, when it time, its time. you certainly dont want too many amber, and you really dont want too many clear.

your pistils look very fresh, when they wither and turn, you know your close. watch out for humidity right now, dont want bud rot! good luck, bro.

Looks like you still have a few weeks to go, I am a newbie, but the last plant went cloudy and took 3 weeks after all trichs were cloudy to finish. At same time the cloudy hit, the hairs started to turn orange, a few at first then about 75% or more of them by harvest. I cut her a little early when trichs were about 30% but wanted a more energetic high. Give her time, you came this far and that extra week or so, can add 25% to the total harvest. I have a purple buddha now, 47 days into 12/12 and don't see a amber trich anywhere, I thought I seen some but must have been the light, cause the next 3 leaves I tested showed none. I do see the orange hairs now and a lot of new growth, so pays to wait a few more weeks, will be worth the extra bud and high. Good Luck!
