The earth and everything that lives in it and on it is self sustaining.
In essence we all eat each other eventually.
The circle of life is always complete.
Animal welfare is the only real question in my mind and the simple fact that we treat them properly before they end up on our plate.
Trying to say i wouldn't eat my pet or my friends pet is a stupid statement as a pet is not food and is not treated or viewed as a food source.
I can assure you though that i and you would soon enough eat your pet if you were starving hungry enough,that is if your pet doesn't eat you first.
If we didnt eat these animals they would soon be on the extinction list as they generate a lot of methane,cost a lot of money to look after and use up a lot of land.
Is it really so hard for you to see what kind of future the money men of our planet would allow these cows,pigs,chickens etc... to have?
Do you really think they will be allowed to run freely everywhere?
The land they occupied will be sold and built on,the animals that are left will be kept in a zoo/prison.
In my opinion it is you who are against nature and odd,you are the one who denies the circle of life because you are riddled with guilt.
The only one interfering with nature is the ones who want to change nature and pretend they are not animals.
