Cool, not knowing the strain and getting pink hairs... I'd consider myself lucky! Not an expert at all, I've never even grown any of the more 'exotic' strains, but I would guess it's a good thing bro... any pics?

agreed! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Lol it can happen to any strain when growing out doors. The reason for your pink hairs is , the temperature drops too low at night and shocks the bud. Has happened to many on my plants .

not saying you're wrong, but I've never seen it happen to me in 36 years of growing, even with cooler temps.

agrees with the cool night theory, another one I have heard is sugar's in the water turning the hairs paink.
could be! I just stick to the basics when growing, no additives, mostly natural growing, that's why when he said pink, the only thing I could think was a plus for him???

Same approach to growing, same conclusion here. I never knew that cool temps at night can do that, course it won't get cold here for months so I've never dealt with that. Or sugars in the water? hmmm

Cool temps change leaf and bud color, but pistols? Pink pistols are a common genetic trait, with white being the dominant...

These grow indoors with warm night temperatures

Yeah Ive got pink all over in my garden. Scientifically speaking, and from a botany point of view, many plants, fruit, and trees alike due change colors due to night time temp. drops.

Pink hairs are a genetic trait. I think what others were thinking of is purple leaves or buds. This IS brought out by cold weather, but again it is related to genetics of the strain. Some strains are more prone to this then others.

the same thing is happening to my plant. its about 40 days into flower and the hairs on one side of the top cola are pink, like hot pink. and its not getting cold in my grow box and the strain is bc big bud which isn't supposed to turn pink or purple at all.

I believe that the pink hairs are genetics..as other have said colder temps seem to affect buds/leaves not pistols. Almost reminds me of Panama Red.
