i grow for personal use only. give away a lot. i don't sell any. for legal reasons.

every time i pass by a local market selling MUMS and lilies for $30 i want to run home and build another room. i could make a killing, legally. 2 harvest a year Mums and Easter lilies.

anybody ever grow any of these holiday plants?
what other kinds of plants are holiday plants? poinsettias what else?

i hear Mums are hard to grow?

thats what my wife wants to do, is grow holiday plants. then sell em. but she just wants to get the seeds started then move em outside.

i think she has got it right man.

i am seriously thinking about a little green house out back in the yard. start them inside and finish outside. hustle one of these local stores to sell them. or set up one of those street corner shops. maybe the proceeds can buy me a chiller for my grow room.

LOL mums and poinsettias funding my pot consumption. ironic

I know somebody who was a supplier for the local flower shops. A family business that has been run for 25 years + They have a bunch of nice green houses.

But nobody is buying flowers in this broke economy so his business is going belly up.
