Greetings All,

Wanting more space than my 4x4 flower tent provides, this summer I set up a 8x12 flower hoop house.

I veg indoors in a 4x4 tent, then decide whether they move to the 4x4 flower tent or to the hoop house.

If they go to the hoop house they get transplanted to 4.5 gallon Hydrofarm mesh bottom pots. They are thicker than the typical blow molded pots. Hoping this helps insulate the roots a bit.

Getting to the coldest part of the year here, not sure how that and the only 10 hours of day of sunlight will limit things.

Some pics:

This is my light timer for long summer days, lol

How to battle humidity and high heat during the summer?
Well our typical humidity here in summer is less than 10.

As far as heat I have misters in the summer.

Before you freak, every 3 days I spray with the following at sunset:

2 liters RO
2 ml Earth Juice Assist
15 ml Dyna-Gro Neem
5 ml Earth Juice Natural Up - Natural Up is potassium bicarbonate

Have had zero mildew or bug issues so far.

When I cut I also dip and wash before dry.

1 cup H2O2 per gallon tap water - this is the dip, leave them under for a few minutes
Dr Bonners Hemp soap wash
Rinse with tap
Rinse with RO
Hang to dry

As far as the tarp in summer, it goes on after sunset, then I take it off in the morning 12 hours before sunset.

There are actually 2 tarps, 1 was not enough to keep it totally dark.

Right on, right on! Looks like you're off to a good start.

Best of luck to you and your harvest.

sunscreen mesh looks the same, but it lets air thru & you won't need the noisy attention attracting fan....there's an outdoor ban here in Sacramento too......;)
