mycorrhiza question

ok. so ive been doing a bunch of reading about Mycorrhiza and the bacteria and fungi that are contained in most mycorrhiza packages.

so from my understanding the only two fungi that are scientifically recognized to form true Mycorrhiza with cannabis are Glomus intraradices, and Glomus mosseae. both of which are contained in basically all myco mixes. so i went around looking at myco here, checked the organic gardening stores, hydro stores, etc, and it was hard to find any mixes that didnt contain massive amounts of trichoderma....

trichoderma is considered a benefitial soil bacteria, and its cheap and easy to cultivate so alot companies put tons of it in there mixes, my concern is that trichoderma is not shown to form the types of mycorrhiza with cannabis that glomus is, and it is so aggresive it actually eats other fungi that are sharing its soil, so in a typical mix like this Oregonism xl i have there is 10 propugules per gram of Glomus intraradices, 10 propugules per gram of Glomus Mosseae, a bunch of other beneficial bacteria, and then 175,000 propugules of trichoderma per gram.... which is an insane ratio

to me it seems that with such a disproportionate ratio the trichoderma would eat the glomus before it even has a chance, and so while it will make your soil healthier im concerned it wont cause the type of mycorrihiza that we should be looking for.

was wondering what some of you weed nerds thoughts were on this. has anyone tried comparing products with only Glomus species, to products containing trichoderma?

i wouldnt really worry about it. i got a couple of little sample bags of that stuff at a hydro store. you dont really need it. whatever soil you are going to use will have all the nesessary bacteria you need anyways if you go for a good soil like some fox farms or something it might have more of that glomas in it but im not really sure. again i wouldnt worry about it.

With Hydro you see improved root development ..... but yeah........ good soil doesn't really need it.

I use Mykos from Xtreme Gardening/RTI for a bunch of reasons but one of them is that it is made up of glomus intraradices only.
