Did that get your attention? Sorry no naked pics here, just plant problems.

So I've been doing this for a while, and this is my 4th run of these Diesel Ryder autoflowering plants from dope-seeds.com through Low Ryder seeds. I have never run into any problems until now. I really need some help here, I cant figure out what is wrong with some of these and have tried a number of things to correct the issue but none have worked to date.

First, here's the info:

Strain: Diesel Ryder
Age: 6 weeks, about 60 plants
Setup: GreenTrees Hydroponics Flood/Drain system in 3 gallon buckets
Media: Hydroton and 'Jiffy' peat pellets
Lights: 3x 1000w HPS (Eye Hortilux) and ~20 54w CFLs - 18/6 cycle
Nutrients (base): Fox Farm Grow Big (hydro), Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom.
Nutrients (additional): Fox Farm 3-part Solubles (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloom, Cha-Ching) (Currently only using Beastie Bloom)
Additives: Hygrozyme (1/2 recommnded strength), Pirahna, Tarantula (also both at 1/2 recommnded dose)
P.h.: 5.8
Feeding Schedule: 30min/4hours
Average Temp: 70 night to 80 day (a little warm but it never caused any problems before)
Humidity 25-50% (its really dry where I live, its hard to get it above that)

All of the information above is the same as what I did on the last grow and all of the plants were completely healthy throughout the cycle.

I normally start the seeds in Rockwool (Grodan) but this time I used 'Jiffy Pellets' brand Peat Pellets. That is the only difference from my last very successful grow. I suspect this may have something to do with why they are dying, but I asked around and no one seemed to think that putting peat pellets into the hydro system would cause any problems.... idk. Maybe there is a fungus or bacteria living in the peat that is eating through the roots right where they connect to the stalk...

Here's some pics:

-Most of the plants are totally healthy

-But some of them started getting yellow leaves around the bottom of the plant about 2 weeks ago
http://img368.imageshack.us/i/96363780.jpg/

-After the yellowing gets nearly to the top (5-7 days) the plant wil suddenly 'wilt'...

http://img32.imageshack.us/i/96308869.jpg/

-After the wilting they never recover.

Whats weird about this is that it seems completely random. Because these are lowryders I grow 2 or even 4 plants in each 3 gallon bucket. In some cases a dying plant will be in the same bucket as a thriving plant. In other cases, all plants in one bucket will be affected.

Initially when I started seeing the problems I thought it was bugs, so I put out some sticky traps to see what I would catch. After 48 hours all I had caught was one big spider and a few little tiny bugs that I think might be thrips but there didnt seem to be enough of them to be the source of dying plants. I do not see any signs of pests on any of the plants anywhere.

Some more pics here

Then, I figured it was root rot or some kind of mold in the roots (even though most of the roots look white and healthy, maybe a little brown, and the root zones smell good, like nice clean dirt, as does the water). So I treated the whole system with Banrot WP40 (I know this isnt used very often in hydroponic applications so here's a link to the label - http://igcusa.com/Catalogs/Banrot-Label.pdf) - I used about 4 ounces of Banrot in my 55 gallon nutrient tank and let it run through the system on the same feeding schedule as normal for 24 hours, then I flushed the whole system wiht water, then with General Hydro FloraKleen for a few hours, then a fresh nutrient solution mix. This had no affect, and within a few days I had more plants yellowing on the bottom.

A frinds convinced me then that I may have some kind of insect that only lives only in the medium (?) so I bought some Pyrethrin solution and soaked the roots of the sick plants in it, and some of the healthy plants as well. This didnt seem to help (or hurt) either.

I'm at the end of my wits here and starting to fear that whatever is going on is going to wipe out my whole crop before harvest which is only about 6 weeks away now. What else should I try?!? Predator nematodes? Pirate bugs? Pyrethrium fogger? WTF?!?!?!?

Please take a look at these pics and read what I've written here and send me any advice you may have... I'm really stuck....
Thanks a million!

are you giving them enough nitrogen?

I follow the Fox Farms' feeding schedule, I'm on week 7 but I also run a little bit (250ppm) of Tiger Bloom. So I would say yes; and also about 75-80% of all of the other plants are really healthy, that's why I think its a disease or bug of some kind causing it...

Most of the plants are healthy except for the dead ones.

Ok so I pulled one of the ones that was totally wilted and dead and I split the peat pellet in half and it smells fucking terrible inside so obviously there is some bad bacteria or fungus in there. Is there anything I can do to kill it in the remaining plants? What about using iodine? or what if I injected each pellet at the base of each plant with a syringe and some hydrogen peroxide?!?!? Help!

Has anyone ever used Iodine in a hydroponic system? How do plants respond to that? Is there any way to kill bacteria in your soilless medium?

No one has anything on this for me?!? I used a big syringe to inject the peat pellets on the sick plants with 3% hydrogen peroxide solution...

What do the roots looks like? Edit- I didn't read the last paragraph where you mentioned the roots. Still sounds like rotting in the peat plug though.

I ran into root rot on one of my plants because I was dumb and used MG moisture control soil. The peat in it holds way to much water and screwed me over. I use Hydrogen Peroxide in all my waterings now. A teaspoon per litre of the weak 3% stuff should do it, mind you I'm not an expert on the measurements of this stuff, but i hear great things about it for keeping away bacteria and fungus and helping to keep roots oxygenated, and my plant is doing better now.

he knows how to string us in, only problem is hes gonna get more lonely perverts and less plant experts

I would agree with what you concluded, that its the peat pellets and hydrogen peroxide is the way to go.I have never had to do this* The syringe idea sounds safe, I would inject with hydrogen peroxide, no greater then 6% concentration, wait 10 min, then flush by injecting with water. Do this twice a day and that will kill any mold or pathogens that may have contaminated your peat pellets. note http://www.using-hydrogen-peroxide.com/peroxide-garden.html

I would say injecting with hydrogen peroxide would kill the bacteria or rot because its what people use to prevent root rot in clones, other than that iodine is your best bet
