Very true & i agree but sadly thats not how it is,meth & crack heads have sold everything they own,we still own things that the government can legally steal then sell off, even if all one of us has is the computer were typing on the cops want it.

i think a lot of you are dumbfucks. Firstly some of you post up pics of decent hydro setups stating "this is in my garage", and then everyone gets on the bandwagon of posting a pic of themselves in some other thread - and along with the fact that cops can track your ip..... Maybe theres something i dont know, like you cant be incriminated by what you say on the internet, but to me this all seems like getting a gun and shooting yourself in the foot.

Right, because there is a big return on the money involved in police lurking in forums to arrest people. It has to be a federal sort of thing since it would be a waste for it to be a state thing for most states, and certainly not for a county. I mean if you are from idaho for instance, I doubt you are going to find 30 active members from that state on this forum, and if you hit all the major weed growing forums that number may hit 100. Doesn't sound too worth while for them to set up an operation to even try that since they'd be lucky to be able to convict 10% of that.

So then it would have to be a federal thing, which means it would be more expensive. I am not sure that it is really worth anyones time to go track down the guy growing 4 plants in his closet, so then it would narrow it down to the people around here that are doing a few dozen, and most of them are MMJ patients I assume, which ultimately would cost a lot more for law enforcement to try to do something about since there would be court battles and there are activist groups that would take on that sort of case, so the expensive legal battles for them would almost be unavoidable.

Now, recently the cases for P2P sort of things have ruled that you cannot use an IP address to identify a person, and I would imagine this precedence would also apply to seeking people out on forums.

But if you are in face paranoid about it, as I imagine most people here are I will suggest using TOR. Tor: anonymity online TOR is a proxy that will send your packets through something like 7 differnt anonymous proxies on its way to its destination so that it's practically impossible to trace the origin. Also, again for the paranoid type change your email address with this site to hush mail Hushmail - Free Email with Privacy it's free, it's encrypted, and it's anonymous. If you do those two things you should be pretty damned safe, unless one of the random 17 year old kid who messages you to try and get in good with you and get the week hookup happens to be a cop and you fork out yoru address and sell to him.

Concerning photos as well. Now this just may be an assumption from watching too many court tv shows or movies, but every photo you upload on here has likely been digitally modified at least twice. First you need to resize it, and probably crop it to get it on the site, and then when you upload it the site tags it which is a second modification. But durring all that altering of the photos, who knows what else happens to them, so I think it may not be that damning in court.
