Excellent Point Bterz!

Cannabis plants, for the most part (some Indica strains from cold climates are acceptations), and on average prefer a warmer media culture to promote a healthy microbiotic environment for the roots to work with and grow through (absorb the soluble solids, ie Macro nutes and bacteria, literally eating the media, as the Microbiotic environment breaks down insolubles into solubles and creating bacteria that draw from inert minerals transferring them into a form of Macro bacteria that is easy for the plants to break down )..... Typically...... if the ambiant air temperature is 75-79 degrees F with a RH of 37-45% flux and wind speeds of 7-11 mph flux, transpiration and photosynthesis happens most rapidly and productively with the ambient media being 85-90% moisture level with an O2 level fluxing between 200-300 ppm and its ambient temperature 73-78 degrees F.... the temperature of the soil or media depending heavily on its contents and mass in relation to root mass, as Cannabis plants like to have a warmer temperature "buffer" with cooler inner media temperatures, such as 69-73 degrees F as compared to the buffer layer of 73-78, precisely why Hydro grower try to stay between 68-73 degrees F, slightly lower in the Res, it warms up a little in the media (i.e. hydroton, DWC container etc.)

thanks fellas. I ran out of epsom salt the other day using the rest of it to clean my bong bongsmilie

but I decided I'm just going to toss that blueberry mother and compost it. it's just too shitty and been stunted too many times that I doubt the clones would really have much vigor. not too concerned though since I still have the sweet tooth mother that seems to be bouncing back nicely from getting fried by the lights and then I have my 3 grapefruit diesel seedlings from NeL that I'll mother once they show sex. then that way I'm only working with two different mother strains to keep things simple.

thanks for that breakdown tho TLD. definitely some informative, and technical shit that we can all learn from ;-)

haha yea I did have another thread but I had made it in the Indoor forum so I decided to make another in the Grow Journals forum since it was a little more appropriate and just in time for the fun part- bloom :-)

giving them a good watering tonight with 6.4 pH water that's being aerated right now. temps when lights were out were about 66 F with the little heater going on for a half hour every hour since it snowed about 8 inches here last night. I'm running the heater with lights on too jsut not as often and temps are staying around 78 F

they've been in 12/12 for almost two weeks but I'm not counting the first week so it'll be 1 week in bloom on wednesday. I'll post some pictures then.

I just got a new blackberry but the camera on it doesnt work too well with my hps so I gotta find my digital somewhere and I'll take some good ones

:leaf: :leaf: :leaf:
They do look a little bit closer to three weeks ;)

haha yea I was thinking they looked a little bulky to really consider them 2 weeks

but I'm loving the development so far. not bad for being devistated by mites at the beginning. really wasnt sure how big the buds would get due to the size of the plants. I was started to kick myself for not letting them veg longer but still looks like they'll produce nicely

how long u end up veggin them for before u flipped? do u know about the heighth they were at?
well I vegged them for about a week under my T5 but then they got hit by mites pretty bad so I wanted to quarantine them so I transplanted them into the 1.5 gal containers and vegged them under my hps for 3 weeks while i let the ladybugs work on them. they were slow to bounce back from the mite attack for the first week but then started growing well again with all new growth nice and green and mite free for the most part.

but they were probably all about a ft and a half or a little under when I flipped them. next run I wont have to veg as long and hopefully let them get a little bigger. all hypothetically speaking if mites dont decide to come to fuck up my day again :wall:

ya mites are pretty rough. but be happy u still have healthy plants 8)

theres always lots to learn the first couples rounds. trust me ill be learning lots with mine as well. just tryin to learn from others grows to prevent things like mties etc. i wanna avoid veggin for a long time as well. but with soil u dont have much a choice to speed it up. depends on the strain i believe too. sum go crazy during flower and can double size. but urs look solid so it should turn out great even for the first run. if it makes u feel better our first grow at my buddys pad since we had mites and my buddy fuckd up topping them and lack of care we cropped out way short at .21 GPW ratio. shit happens but lookin at urs u def look ahead of where we were.

I just know everything would be so fucked if it wasnt for everyone's help on here haha and that's no joke. it's so helpful being able to see what works and what doesnt then apply that to my situation.

I am a bit nervoyus to see how my yield turns out but it's my first indoor so I'm just more excited to see how frosty they get. if I get half a gram per watt, I'd be happy :blsmoke:

so stoked to see your new place in action tho Boom! hopefully I'm moving to a more permanent location after this next outdoor season. gonna do it kinda big this next year so watch out for my outdoor grow too when it comes around :hump: :leaf: :hump:

how much does do plants benefit from co2 during flowering? I know that's a dumb question but I have some 20 oz bottles from an old paintball gun that I could release in there with all the fans off right under the canopy..

but yea I think I'm going to do another guerrilla since I found a good spot by a small hidden creek that never dries up so I want to run a little natural pressured drip system that would be super easy to set up and then I could just set and only check once every couple weeks. gonna sprout some grapefruitxdiesel seeds I got from a good friend and get them burly :weed:

naw never a dumb question. from the research ive been doin its worth using co2. the tanks work but a co2 generator is better in the long run. from wat ive seen the earths atmospehere has like 300ppm co2 and plants can use up to 1500ppm while in flower and only during lights on. so u can use a setinal digital PPM reader and itll monitor the tank and a regulator valve releases more co2 once below 1500ppm or watever u set it to. but this also depends wats in ur budget. also the room would have to be sealed and not exhaust the co2. or its just a waste. temps in the room can get up to 85 easy the plant actually performs better at 80-85 or sumthing. but im sure sum of the guys here use it now and kno more that can help out if ure lookin to do that one day.

the outdoor idea sounds legit. by creeks and rivers ive heard its common so hope its hidden well 8) dont want u gettin pinched. but im def ready t follow it

**UPDATE** WEEK 3

still a small mite issue on a couple of the SSH's so I just doused all the plants undersides and tops of their leaves to hopefully knock the mites off and/or slow them down...

I gave them their first taste of the Hi Brix molasses at 5ml per gal last night. the molasses dropped my ph to something like 4.5 so that was my first time having to use any ph increase.

to TLD: I know you're using same nute lineup, but I'm wondering how you integrate the Hi Brix with the Bio Bloom since it already contains molasses?

*PICS*

2- SGDP

***EDIT*** riu wont let me upload pics right now :o I'll try again in a little
